I am definitely in one of those periods where all that can be done is to brute force progress from adversity. But I have to admit I rather thrive on that stuff; less art from adversity (What I do isn't nearly so high-minded to be called art) but certainly /excitement/ from it.

I met Khary Payton, Drebins’ voice actor at a con and someone had asked about how it was working on MGS4, if there was any standout moments to him he remembered.

He then began to describe being given Laughing Octopus’s backstory and genuinely thought he was being pranked.

RIP to an absolute legend. I wouldn't be doing all this today if not for his creations. Such immense talent surely deserved more than even 77 years, but he leaves behind quite the legacy in the immortal hardware he stewarded.
as announced by online Sega history zine Beep21: Hideki Sato, the "father of Sega hardware" who stewarded the design of Sega's home consoles from the SG-1000 through to the Dreamcast & presided over the company from 2001~3, passed away on Feb.13 aged 77 🇯🇵

7 years after I started VGC, I’m incredibly proud of the editorial team. In particular, in the last 18 months, we visited the likes of Team Asobi, Capcom, Kojima Productions, and TPC, while interviewing Todd Howard, Hideki Kamiya, Sega, Square Enix, Konami, Sucker Punch, CD Projekt, and many more.
VGC recently travelled to Tokyo to speak to Game Freak's Shigeru Ohmori and Koei Tecmo about Pokémon’s big spin-off, Pokopia, and learned how it was directly inspired by Ruby and Sapphire.

Extensive impressions and dev team interviews via the link:

An hour with Pokopia suggests it might be the best Pokémon spin-off ever - and it's more Viva Pinata than Minecraft or Animal Crossing www.eurogamer.net/an-hour-with...
