We are up to 688 LoCITT participants!

If we could enroll all 1,000 participants within a month of launch (by 11/30), it would send a powerful message about the demand for remote Long COVID clinical trials.

We appreciate the community's help to spread the word:

It cannot be made clearer.

If you continue to support the Harry Potter franchise in any way, you are directly funding the removal of trans people's human rights in the UK.

We are at a red-alert moment with queer stories right now. Literally this morning, I was chatting with a seasoned Hollywood producer who just had a project halted b/c executives were skittish about it being too gay. Not only is a mass-erasure of queer characters plausible... it's already begun.
I hope there's a course correction, but it's incredibly plausible that Hollywood's desire to not offend reactionaries ends up costing us 20-ish years of more diverse stories, roughly akin to the comparative drought of POC and queer stories in the '80s and '90s when compared to the '70s.
I'm no longer shocked when the truths come out but my heart still breaks every time. Queer youth are attacked at every turn and they can’t even have the respite of feeling seen by a movie, all so regressive bigots don’t have to feel discomfort for two hours.

Don't "thots & prayers" trans* and queer people this month, much less today. Instead, give money directly to trans* people and/or Trans-led orgs who are directly supporting people in need. Queer people need material and practical support to stay safe and alive, not mouth-words-only "allies".
In light of Pride month I'm fundraising for Point of Pride, an incredible trans-led nonprofit that provides direct gender affirming care & things like HRT to trans ppl in need.

Please, please donate any small amount that you can. Every bit makes a major impact! secure.givelively.org/donate/point...

Point of Pride is the real deal. I volunteer to read applications and see first hand the number of people who need small amounts of money for application fees etc. We really do make sure the money is used incredibly well.

Please donate if you are able!
If you need money for GAC, check out PoP!

“KAMALA HASN’T EARNED MY VOTE.”

How about all those trans kids who are about to lose decades of hard-won rights? Did they also fail to “earn your vote”?

Voting wasn’t something you owed Kamala Harris. It was something you owed all the people Trump was going to hurt. You fucking dilettante.

Georgia voter turnout was 3% yesterday.

You all can show up to protest, but you can't fucking show up where it really counts at the polls to vote.

You are not serious people.
Karen from Macon Georgia, called into @urbanviewradio.bsky.social said a great rally on Saturday, just for voters to turn around and sit their asses home on Tuesday’s election! She was #20 at 1:30pm at her precinct!

QUEER ART IS REVOLUTION. The paintings I have in this Pride month joint show at Cambium Gallery are in-your-face queer. I get into just a little of what it means to be visible and invisible as a queer person. (Spoiler: both equally suck these days.) There's a lot to behold and discuss.

I'm currently reading Malinda Lo's 'Last Night at the Telegraph Club' and I can't help but feel like this book made its way to me when I MOST needed the nightly refuge. Grateful to Lo's craft and the heart put into dynamic and delightful characters.
Insert meme of the dog with the world burning but also, my book Last Night at the Telegraph Club (which Kirkus thinks is one of the best 100 YA books of this century!) is on sale for $2.99 at all US ebook retailers including Bookshop.org! They have ebooks now! bookshop.org/p/books/last...

I just wrote my Dem senators & thanked them for standing by Trans people.

This is important to do, period. Also, if we all fight for the civil rights and liberties of Trans* people, we fight for ALL humans. If they decide they can sacrifice the ~1.3% of the pop. that is Trans*, we are all doomed.
A whole host of overpaid consultants and talking heads told them not to do the right thing and they still chose to do the right thing, so I'd even go a step further and encourage people to contact Senators who opposed this measure (SB 9) and thank them for standing by trans people and our families
I want to quickly say how significant it is that after the last election, Dems have held relatively strong on trans rights, even on sports.

Senators in battleground states are not flipping.

Their one scuff was the NDAA, where some did flip.

Budget fight is next though.

What Michael said. Everything I paint and everything I write is directly and defiantly queer—and I will be purposefully bringing my very expansive thinking and outsider perspective to the challenges we face.
The persistence of queer art...especially in times of duress...is important for a multitude of reasons. Not only is it crucial for the folks who need it, but it's important to create in defiance of those who seek to marginalize. To dream unapologetically even in darkness is to not be ignored.

Justice for Heklina #Heklina
To get the London Police to take more action has been something Nancy and I have been pushing for since the tragedy began. Why has it taken this long? There is so much more to this story that will have to be told.

People hate confident and (more than) competent women so much that we have to survive the worst of the worst vile, dangerous weaponized incompetence instead of thrive under her.

I will never forget or forgive this.

THIS.

Unless you mask in public, you are preventing MANY people like David Lynch from leaving their homes. We are all worthy of being safe. Think on that next time you think about what "showing up" as a "good" community member looks like.
