For all the fearmongering about capital flight from New York City, there’s an exodus few want to talk about: working people.

Sky-high rents and outrageous child care costs are already pushing families out of the city they keep running.

That’s what we have to change.

saying that this is what happened in 2024 is a literal rewriting of history.

i expect nothing less though from the man who once threw a hissy fit after Mira Bellwether BOFA’d him.
You are the first to ask, I hope in good faith: I am referring to the demand that a candidate line up perfectly with every issue I care about, or else, and fuck everyone who will be hurt if I help elect the candidate who is promising to hurt them. And I take zero responsibility for the consequences.

I’m seeing wheaton’s name pop up & idk what he’s done now but will never not think of the time Mira got him to rage quit mastodon (and I think social media for a little while?) via a ligma joke
We need to ensure the corny blue checks feel unsafe on here like when Mira Bellwether ran Wil Wheaton off mastodon simply by replying to him w stuff he didn’t like lol

love to sit here as the only one in a mask while all my co-workers sniffle and cough chronically & worry about how if I get sick or disabled there’s literally no one to take care of me. BACK TO NORMAL

2/2 Lady Anne Pope had her portrait painted in 1596 when pregnant w/ her 4th child, so other 3 would remember her if she died in childbirth. Good news: she didn't! Painted by Marcus Gheeraerts, whose day is today.
