CBC is platforming unproven pseudoscientific brain retraining programs for #LongCOVID. In reality, some people recover others do not, no matter what they try.

This approach lays the blame on patients who don't get better because they're not trying hard enough.

I wish they said explicitly that there's $5 billion in emergency reserves they're refusing to use instead they're happy to let people - mostly children, the disabled, and elderly, starve.

We're going to talk about c19 today and I'm going to ask you all in advance to not zone out like you do when we're talking about it in person😑

Covid not "a cold" - it attacks every system of the body, making it weaker to every other kind of infection. There's another illness that does similar.

Canada lacks data on children & youth with Long COVID, unlike the 6M in the USA. This insightful and timely article shows how multi-site pediatric data sharing works with consent, governance, and secure systems.

Had a Stellate Ganglion Block yesterday.
Procedure was straightforward with no unexpected adverse effects.
Some heaviness on the left side of my face.
No crash (yet haha)
Told not to expect much from the first shot & that the second & third would reveal any possible benefit.

California to make and sell its own low cost insulin…a 5 pack will cost around $55

No one should have to ration meds

No one should fear financial ruin because they need meds

When Frederick Banting sold the patent for insulin, he made it $1

A Canadian, he said life saving meds were for everyone
In shot across Big Pharma's bow, California will sell its own insulin
Delivery of the state-branded drug makes good on a longstanding promise by Gov. Gavin Newsom.

The temporary ‘inconvenience’ of wearing a mask should be closely weighed against the seemingly permanent ‘nuisance’ of losing everything you have while laying riddled with illness, helplessly bound to a bed that has become your prison.

“If we assume, conservatively, that it takes 12 to 15 years to develop acceptable therapeutics for Long COVID, and then another 18 years for them to reach clinical practice, people my age — and yours — will have passed before they get help. We need to accelerate this.”
A group of 53 people with #LongCOVID joined a clinical trial for Vyvgart. For many of them, the treatment changed everything.

Then, without warning, Argenx canceled the trial.

Most of them have now relapsed.
