Hey, speaking as a parent who also teaches art in my kid’s school:

1) I don’t want genAI involved in my child’s learning bc the AI short-circuits the effort & repetition needed to help him cement skills.

2) GenAI art teaches my tiny artists no skills & reinforces what they perceive as inadequacy>

Lindsey fought like hell against Cuomo and for Mamdani and was the first person I saw clearly explain ranked choice voting during the primary. She shows up at the rallies and marches I shoot and clearly gives a damn about this city. Not my district, but I'm keeping a close eye on this one!

Denver and Daniel are walking together on a winter's night. Denver shares that he now lives with Tomás, but that it comes with difficulties because of Tomás and their cheap apartment's plumbing. Daniel laughs for the first time maybe all comic.

Navigating with You is a queer romance about two girls who bond over a shared love of an obscure manga and end up becoming much more than friends. The book features Neesha, a black lesbian teen cosplayer and activist with cerebral palsy and Gabby a bisexual mixed-race Latina surfer dealing with PTSD after the death of her mother. They both live in Durham, North Carolina. The book was honored by the Stonewall Committee and nominated for both a Harvey and a Ringo award. The Dog Knight features non-binary hero Frankie, who is chosen by a group of magical talking dogs to help the save the world from the forces of chaos. After Tara Smith spontaneously combusts in the middle of class, it is revealed to her that she is an alien secretly living on Earth, her identity hidden even from herself. Tara is given two options: be sent back to her home planet (where she's never been) or go to The School for Extraterrestrial Girls, where she can learn to control her powers and remain on Earth. She'll meet zany roommates, fight giant monsters, and maybe even develop her first crush.. The Cold Ever After is a Toxic Yuri Fantasy Noir about a female knight in love with her queen who is called back into action after years of exile when the princess goes missing and the whole kingdom is in danger.

I find it moving that David Lynch loved IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE so much he couldn't talk about it without crying. His sincere belief in the redemptive possibilities contained in that film and what it said about people seems to me like a key element of understanding his own work.
