Maybe Keir should demand the heads of major US news networks any time they imply Britain is on the brink of civil war or that we live under sharia law. Or does it not work both ways?

I tried it out, because some people who report to me said they used it for technical direction. I wanted to have an informed opinion before I encouraged or discouraged them.
I don't use it any LLM at all in any aspect, but I needed to know what I was talking about!

Hands up if you've never used Chat GPT ✋
(I feel like Dozer and Tank in The Matrix right now - at first I didn't use it because, rather ironically, I'm lazy and stubborn (peak Taurus energy there) - literally no, don't make me use the new thing I don't wanna. Now I'm glad I didn't 😅)

Probably a good way to tell right now if the job you’re applying for is run by absolute dumbfucks is to ask if they’re using AI.

In 2015 45% of the railways in India were electrified. A decision was made that year to make it 100%. Ten years later they’ve reached 98%.
Govt scraps all electrification investment. Midland Main Line to stay forever diesel Leicester Nottingham Derby Sheffield. Hugely embarrassing and inexplicable

Thread.
as a side note, a lot of food banks in the U.K.- I dunno about the USA- won’t accept or give out formula (despite the govt publishing explicit guidance that legally they can do so).
Every time I buy someone formula, I also give them info on where, locally, they can get ongoing support.

a mental health crisis among British students whilst universities are pushing faculty to accept or even encourage students using generative AI is a catastrophe waiting to happen
1.This is not the only known example we know of ChatGPT cheering on a vulnerable young person to die by suicide, this time it is a recent Texas A&M grad
2. Every single university that has invited OpenAI into our midst should be asked to account for their choices.

From disease testing sheep & fertility testing dairy cows to treating sick calves & meeting with farmers to discuss forage shortages, no two days are alike. Follow vet Ed Bailey at George Farm Vets as he visits farms in Wiltshire. #InSafeHands
