Bridget Phillipson here, confirming that the government’s position is that trans women must always use men’s bathrooms when out in public.

Fun fact, straight men defining who gets to qualify as a lesbian is more dangerous to honest-to-god lesbians than a trans woman having a profile on Her.
👨‍⚖️ The UK Supreme Court just redefined what a lesbian is

Extremely devastating news for transgender people in the United Kingdom.

So much of what we face in the United States has shared roots in that country, and this Supreme Court decision there will make people far less free.

Crackdowns on trans people are international, not limited to borders.
The UK Supreme Court has unanimously decided that the definition of sex under the Equality Act 2010 refers solely to biological sex, and does not include people with a Gender Recognition Certificate.

“several black servants who were their friends”
you can’t parody this.
“Not into politics” during apartheid was in fact quite a political statement
In an email to The Post, his father, Errol, said Musk and his brother were “not into political nonsense, & we lived in a very well-run, law-abiding country with virtually no crime at all. Actually no crime. We had several black servants who were their friends”

By the way, ironically one way you can pave the way for building community is DEPEND ON YOUR FRIENDS. Don't just pay your own way everywhere. Ask people to share stuff. And make them feel okay about asking you for favours in return (and make sure that you are there for them if you can be).

any suggestions how one should celebrate 10 years of being out and living life as oneself? ^^

I spent most of my adult life watching schools say they can't expel professors for sexually assaulting and harassing students and colleagues only to see how quickly they react over social media posts against genocide

You know what reality TV has taught me?

The reason rich people don't care about the loss of third spaces and all the places that made cities cool?

It's because more and more of them have built their homes to be everything.

honestly the most surprising thing about this NYC trip so far has been the complete lack of indication that a second Trump presidency is imminent. like, i don't *want* to care either, but if i didn't know this was coming, i wouldn't have learned about it here
