The slavers' republic has failed.

We can build better ones.

Hail Cascadia.

I'm interested in an opposing view as long as it's supported by data, ethics, human rights.

I can be wrong about things! I'm sure I am plenty of times, and I'm ready to change my mind when presented with new/better facts.

But with the fools spamming fascist noise it's fun to just erase them.😄
So are the insurance companies just eating the costs of all the car crashes and hospital stays caused by the terrorist chuds?

Or should people in the cities being attacked by the remnant of the federal government expect their premiums to spike up again?

The chances of this passing the Senate (i.e., nuking legis. filibuster for it) are slim to none, they're pushing this more for the talking points to delegitimize their midterm loss. But this isn't just very bad policy. It's utterly impractical in the sense that it'd cause total unworkable chaos.
Breaking: House passes new version of SAVE Act, worst voter suppression bill considered by Congress. Could disenfranchise:

-21 million Americans w/out access to citizenship papers
-69 mil married women who took partner’s name
-21 mil w/out valid drivers license

However you cut the data Trump continues to have worst jobs record of last six Presidents. 1/

Again. It's consistent, but it's not connected to the "crime rate," however you define that.

The rate of police killings is a function of the scale and type of policing that happens to *innocent people*.
🙂🙃

Double the number of police stops of innocent Black drivers? Double the number of killings.
The first thing to understand, is that the number of people killed by cops is not connected to the "crime rate," (however you define that).

Every decade since the 80s has had less violent crime than the decade before. And yet every decade the number of cop killings goes... up.
🙂🙃

Here's why:

1/ ProPublica collected handwritten letters in mid-January from children held at the Dilley Immigration Processing Center, the same facility where 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos was taken.

Hundreds of kids are still detained.

We’ll let the children’s words speak for themselves. 🧵

My colleague got into Trump's sprawling family detention camp, which is full of toddlers, kids, & teens.

- Kids have cut themselves or talked about suicide

-There's worms & mold in food

-300 kids have been held for 30+ days, far longer court settlement allows

What we need is a line of jewelry & accessories that emit overwhelming outputs of light and sound only perceptible to the panopticon's sensors.
Truly cannot believe how dumb our society is that we are ok with personal surveillance sunglasses from the company that knew, but didn’t care, its product was bad for kids.

So my advice to the press, it is time to rethink how you ask questions. You know trump is a racist, frame it like that. You know trump is a misogynist/rapist, frame it like that. You know trump is a felon, frame it like that. Killing citizens, abducting kids...etc /7

Reminder: your 'privacy' VPN is still a physical server in somebodies jurisdiction.

Claim of RAM disk servers as protection is...interesting.

I know nothing more about this case, but hotplugs that let authorities grab a server without cutting power are common. 1/

There are major federal tasks forces operating still in Memphis, New Orleans, Miami-Dade, Phoenix, South Texas, still raiding homes, kidnapping people, black-bagging people from courthouses.

If ICE does controversial things but doesn't *say* controversial things, it disappears from the news.

Several things can be true at once:

*The usurper will use his finite supply of chuds in an attempt to tamper with the midterns.

*The attempt will not succeed.

*The attempt itself will delegitimize any result other than the total defeat of the usurper and his minions.

More specifically, he's lying that the SAVE Act is "voter ID." It creates a requirement at the time of *registration* to vote which is deliberately calculated to make traditional voter registration drives impossible. It is not what people usually think of and many states have, ID check at the polls.
Mike Johnson lies that voter ID "is an 80 or 90 percent issue on the polling nationwide"

Unfortunately, I'm seeing this nowhere online.

Imagine if local/state officials responded to (e.g.) a gas main explosion the way they've responded to the invasion of a violent terrorist gang.

"We might put it out next November.

Make sure you don't do anything to the fire because you'll just make it mad.

If you're on fire, don't call us."

The chuds will definitely *try* to meddle, and interfere, and suppress, and cheat.

Expect that. Plan for that. Be ready.

But do not expect or assume they will *succeed*.

There are more of us and democracy, for all its faults, is still government by the many.

We're the fucking many.
At risk of sounding like a dreadful centrist, everyone has a point here and here is my proposed solution:

Be actively worried about 2026 election fraud and voter suppression, and also emphasize the importance of voting anyway

This is the best solution for everyone involved, libs and leftists alike
i think if you post like this without offering concrete steps people can take to prepare for and respond to interference or without any acknowledgement of the success (or lack thereof) of this strategy then you are basically engaged in voter suppression.
