Since I have a big crop of new followers: Hi! I'm Abby! I write about movies and sometimes other things. I went viral once for posting a photo of an Abe Lincoln impersonator. I wrote a book that just came out, and you should read it!

How many times do we have to keep trotting out tired metaphors about kintsugi before people recognize it's a cliche and stop using it?

So the House is going to vote TOMORROW on the DHS funding bill that includes funding for ICE.

There's a real chance we can get Dems to vote NO on any bill with ICE funding to sink it.

Once it goes to the Senate we likely lose this chance.

24 hours. Go.

Please congratulate Buster on eight whole years (today!!) of putting up with my crap.

You can also congratulate me on sticking with him through that phase in 2020 when he kept knocking stuff off my kitchen shelves to get attention.

And then some of the wasps are wasps you actually *like* and want to think you're cool, but you don't actually have a relationship to them, so even if you did respond to their comment, all you'd get are crickets, which are an entirely different kind of insect.

I stretched that one too far, huh?
who the fuck WANTS their posts to go viral, have you ever had that actually happen? it's like getting a winning pull on a slot machine if wasps started pouring out the bottom instead of quarters

Saw someone’s criticism of the 28 YEARS LATER movies basically amount to “hurrrr durrr they put too many politics in my zombie movies” and I’m sorry that means you probably also watched Romero’s DEAD trilogy with your eyes closed and your bloodline is too weak for this world.

This is the way.
movies don't need to be shorter, they need to have a video game based on the movie sponsored by a fast casual pizza chain available for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System

Observation Pizza in KC never had a bick and mortar. You ordered ahead via Venmo, texted them on arrival, and they brought it out like you were ordering drugs. It ruled.

The Bob Marley (olive oil, pickled mushrooms, sweet potato, pine nuts, some kind of green) was so good it made me yell curses.

Putting your book nook that looks like a magic world for tiny people next to the book with a five-and-a-half-minute hallway is the correct call, I think.

Hot take: I really dislike Moulin Rouge despite repeated attempts to try. Hyperkinetic Baz Luhrmann is really not for me. I finally decided it's ok for me to like Strictly Ballroom and nothing else.
