Since I have a big crop of new followers: Hi! I'm Abby! I write about movies and sometimes other things. I went viral once for posting a photo of an Abe Lincoln impersonator. I wrote a book that just came out, and you should read it!

In my 20s, the price of admission to a party was a sixer or a bottle of wine. Now, in my 30s, it's toys and/or books for my friends' kids.

My party schedule is...different now.

sorry to Wizard of Oz post, but I was raised on the Midwestern cut of the film where Oz is in black and white and Kansas is in color so that we would be discouraged from flights of fancy and excited to return to farm work

Look, I'm a tepid Osgood Perkins appreciator most of the time (The Monkey excepted, that thing owns), and even *I* think most of y'all are being too harsh on KEEPER. It's fun!

I've never been happier to spend most of the day offline. Now, if you'll excuse me, it's time to watch my KEEPER screener.

Is there a speed-dating option for active churchgoers who regularly skip the gym and may or may not want kids? Or is this *just* a thing for fit pro-natalists?

So now that I've heard TCW labeled "Wa-Luigi Coates" I'll never think of him any other way.
Would hate to have to work with Wa-Luigi Coates on a group project

There was a woman next to me at WICKED: FOR GOOD tonight who I think had only seen the first movie and didn't know the show, so every reveal was a delight to her, and that was (for me) maybe the best way to watch this movie.

I am very distracted by the number of times The American Revolution uses the same music as the Miller's Crossing theme.

Y'all remember last week when I was coy for some stupid reason about the best movie of the year?

This, it's this, I don't know why I wasn't clearer, it was a long week and I was tired.

I'm online enough to know about Olivia Nuzzi, but not so much that I know about Dasha Nekrasova, and I feel like that's a good place to be.

So hey, turns out this was my last film review for Paste. You'll be able to find my old stuff there, but this is the last new one:
Predictable and Flat, Rebuilding Has Good Intentions, but Dull Execution
Rebuilding wants its audience to be surprised by what they find, but its filmmakers don't seem to find their story all that special.
