Thread about no matter how bad it gets out there, it’s better to take the metro or fly despite it being more expensive
I just woke up from a nap and somehow while I was asleep, everyone on the bus has figured out we are not going to the right place

Things are so bad in this country that the indie radio DJ is on an unprompted but completely understandable between-song tangent about what’s going to become of us

Saw someone’s criticism of the 28 YEARS LATER movies basically amount to “hurrrr durrr they put too many politics in my zombie movies” and I’m sorry that means you probably also watched Romero’s DEAD trilogy with your eyes closed and your bloodline is too weak for this world.

Between CIVIL WAR and THE BONE TEMPLE it’s clear that Alex Garland is concerned about the rise of fascism and religious extremism in our turbulent times.

But these movies both offer a glimpse of hope. An inkling of an idea that as humans we can strive to be better as time despite circumstance.

There’s a scene so “Reyna-coded” in 28 YEARS LATER: THE BONE TEMPLE that I hit this pose and remained that way for the rest of the movie.

Fallout Episode 5 Continues To Expand The Series By Dropping Two Major Bombshells
Spoilers for this week's episode of Fallout to follow. Ring a ding ding! Another week, another episode of Fallout. Last week’s episode was notable because it showed our heroes Lucy (Ella Purnell) and Cooper (Walton Goggins) finally arrive at the iconic strip from Fallout: New Vegas. Though the pair had hoped to find Lucy’s father, Hank (Kyle Maclachlan), they were instead greeted by a horrific sight: a Deathclaw, one of Fallout’s most iconic enemies. Elsewhere, Norm (Moisés Arias) and the Vault-Tec junior executives from Vault 31 are exploring the Los Angeles wasteland in hopes of finding Vault-Tec’s headquarters. With plenty of tense situations and big set-ups hanging in the air, let’s dive into this week’s adventure in the Mojave wasteland. The episode opens with Lucy and Cooper encountering the Deathclaw on the strip. Horrified at the sight of the creature, they quickly realize there is not one but three Deathclaws, making them fully surrounded. Knowing the danger they’re in, Cooper suggests running and staying out of sight. While hidden, Lucy asks Cooper which weapon he suggests they use to take them on. Knowing none of them will work, he takes a sack of grenades and throws it out as a distraction by shooting it. With the Deathclaws occupied, Cooper and Lucy escape to the backside of The Strip into the neighborhood of Freeside.Continue Reading at GameSpot

If I pulled a TMNT card out of my Lorwyn Eclipsed prerelease, I’d tear it in half right then and there.

I wouldn’t vote for Gavin Newsom if you put a gun to my head.
You need to pledge allegiance to whomever wins the '28 dem nominee (including Gavin if that's him).

Big props to @tolariancommunitycollege.com for calling out that the new commander precons for Lorwyn Eclipsed aren’t beginner friendly. This is a common issue I’ve been seeing for the past few sets and can’t help but wonder if WotC should bring this logo back for products:

Built a brawl deck on magic arena last night and this thing is a menace that turns burn spells into board wipes and combat tricks into 60/12 power toughness.

Fallout's Latest Episode Introduces An Iconic Enemy And Tons Of Chaos
Spoilers for this week's episode of Fallout to follow. Last week's episode of Fallout gave longtime fans and new viewers an update on the factions running around in the Mojave Wasteland. From Caesar’s Legion and the divide they had, to the NCR’s loosened grip on the area, to Maximus’ (Aaron Moten) big mistake, there was no shortage of shakeups. As a result, the episode felt as if it sidelined its leads in favor of world building. That’s not the case with this week’s entry, however, as we finally see Lucy (Ella Purnell) and Cooper (Walton Goggins) arrive in the long anticipated New Vegas. Let’s dive into what went on in the Mojave Wasteland this week. The episode opens with one of the most exciting pre-war flashbacks to be depicted in the series, showing Cooper Howard on the Alaskan front during the liberation of Anchorage from occupying Chinese forces. Him and a squadmate are on a combat patrol sporting West-Tek’s T-45 Power Armor for the first time in combat and things aren’t going as expected. His squadmate’s armor keeps malfunctioning, locking his arm into place. Frustrated, Cooper opts to disobey orders from his commanding officer and sends the soldier back to base to continue his combat patrol alone. This plan backfires, as he’s soon ambushed by a platoon of Chinese soldiers who cause his armor to malfunction and send him straight to the floor. Just as all hope seems lost and they prepare to kill him for his armor, a terrifying roar is let out. Shortly after, a Deathclaw appears and massacres the platoon in gory fashion. The deathclaw examines Cooper and leaves him thinking he’s dead; meanwhile on the radio, his commanding officer lets him know that the liberation of Anchorage was successful.Continue Reading at GameSpot
