If you need to ask the question, you have already answered it 😉.

Can we stop attributing AI/LLMs with "hallucinations"? This is a term referring to human clinical/psychological conditions. It doesn't need to be ceded yet. "LLMs getting it totally wrong" is fine.

Definition of ageing: going into a chemist/pharmacy and realising how many of the notices on the notice board now potentially apply to you.

Also, and this is just a thought, maybe this is a reminder that electing a party that is up to its neck in Russian influence isn't a great idea.

My, we have some serious quality journalism in this country.

I may just be tired at the end of a long week, but I can't seem to help reading this pop-up from @wired.com as a mafioso threat. You pay for the articles next time, capiche?

I have a small issue with Michael Heseltine's otherwise great description of Farage. If he really looked like a farmer, he would be wearing a boiler suit and covered in cow shit. What he actually looks like is someone who wants to look like a farmer.

Many congratulations to my colleague Dr Rachael Kent. This is a milestone in the history of big tech accountability!

AI may be the future of everything but sometimes it's just ... grrr.

A PSA: PhD enquiry emails written with AI are structurally very similar, and are therefore easy to spot. If you don't have time to write me an email yourself explaining why you want to work with me, then I don't have time to consider your proposal.
