@usa-npn.bsky.social When looking at anomaly data, it seems that I should be paying attending to number next to the red box (-9 days). However I do not know how to think about the 'Observed Day of Onset' (Green box). Should I just ignore that number (green box)? Should I focus on the the -9 days?

That’s great! I’ll send you an email and we can plan something!

Thank you for your advocacy work on this! Would love to find a time to chat!

This is an amazing thread and so glad that it was highlighted by @katharinehayhoe.com in her news letter. I am going to share this with my students at Marist…maybe I can have @jeffsseidman.bsky.social pop down the road to talk about his experience?
1/x 🧡 πŸ”ŒπŸ’‘ #Greensky. Hey climate peeps! Here’s a local victory to celebrate, and some lessons from it. Last night, the Town of Poughkeepsie, NY, voted to overturn its 18-month moratorium (6 months, renewed twice) on grid-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS).
I am SO EXCITED about this!

Many folks want to take personal action on climate change, but many resources treat people like monoliths.

8) We course-corrected early on, stopped talking about climate at all, and instead talked about LOCAL benefits: lower electricity bills, a more reliable and resilient grid, and lower air pollution (because batteries displace dirty peaker-plants).

Today I’ll be collecting data about how #climatechange & biochar impact decomposition. I used teabags as the β€œlitter bags”. It’s the first time I’ve tried this protocol & so I’m excitedly nervous to see what the data looks like!

Who's responsible for the climate crisis?

Two new studies try to answer this question: but whichever way we slice it, the answer doesn't change much.

The wealthiest are disproportionately responsible for the greatest emissions, and that's why climate change is so unfair.
