Okay, @hausfath.bsky.social and Climate Brink have created the one climate graphic to rule them all with this Joy Division-inspired temperature anomaly chart

It's part of their extremely useful new dashboard dashboard.theclimatebrink.com
I've created a new dashboard for The Climate Brink that is updated daily with ERA5 global mean surface temperature data. It includes daily anomalies, monthly and annual forecasts, and a bunch of interactive data visualizations: dashboard.theclimate...

do we have an HOA? need to keep property values up.

340 W/m2 is the incoming solar power but 30% of that is reflected back to space, so energy absorbed is 340*0.7 = 240 W/m2

A very long time ago, I put together a video on how the greenhouse effect actually works:

Those are great posts

what's amazing is that BK actually have a professionally made sign for this. it's like they thought, "we might run out of burgers, let's make a sign we can put out when that happens."
2026 in a nutshell.
WaPo editorial board when TX imposes a legislative gerrymander: don't freak out guys! Not a threat to democracy!

When VA responds to TX with *referendum* on their own gerrymander: brass-knuckled hypocrisy, anti-democratic gamesmanship.

There is hypocrisy here, all right, but not from VA.

Also, lots of hotels (particularly in places like Austin) have level 2 chargers where you can top off for an hour or two or charge overnight.

A real game changer is getting a Tesla adapter for my car. Think what you will of Musk, he correctly identified that setting up a big charger network was key to driver satisfaction.

EV range anxiety is a thing of the past. I’ve been driving my EV all over Texas and I never have trouble getting where I need to go.

The only thing I need to do is plan out my stops before I leave. That takes a few minutes.

I hope you realize that I am joking

Brave and blunt talk at UT Civitas Institute by @andrewdessler.com listing some of the Scientific Felonies committed in criminally flawed DOE Climate report while authors of report (Koonin, Christy, McKitrick) look on.

You’re not going out of it that easy
I don't say this often but: I'm so proud to be a climate and environment reporter. We cover an issue that is vitally important to humanity and the natural world. 14 of my climate colleagues at the Post were laid off today and I'm devastated.

Ping Chang now talking about high resolution modeling.

Oh no! RCP8.5 has appeared. Somewhere, The Honest Broker looks up, nostrils flaring as he feels a distortion in the force.
