The EU has published a world-first risk landscape report under the #DSA.

It flags systemic risks on big platforms — from illegal content to generative AI— and tracks how platforms are addressing them.

More transparency. More accountability.
A safer online space for all.

An #EU Member State is about to return to the practice of taking political prisoners. It's a shame for a Union established to prevent such things, among others, from happening again #Hungary
For the first time in EU history, someone faces criminal charges for organising a Pride march.
Géza Buzás-Hábel, a teacher and organiser of Pécs Pride in Hungary, could be jailed for up to a year, simply for leading a peaceful march for equality. 🧵

That's what I call a denial of service both by public administrations and by private companies. And, yes, it should be illegal

Today, the conservatives (EPP) passed a major piece of EU legislation with the far-right groups in the EU Parliament, marking the breakdown of the cordon sanitaire. The EPP, under Weber, has decided to sacrifice long-term principles and stability for short-term political gains.

Sounds great! Looking forward to reading it. Thanks for letting me know 👏

This is a very important development! #Slovakia #RuleOfLaw
According to @vsquare.bsky.social, the Netherlands is testing the member states to see whether they would support Article 7 proceedings against #Slovakia for systematic violations of the rule of law. This would require the support of one-third of the 27 countries. But according to the article… 2/1

And I don’t even count BBB here, which has radicalized significantly in the last year.

Realised it when I opened my Duolingo in the morning. It's insane how dependent people and businesses are on a few private entities

The phrasing reminds me of Trump's Liberation Day. A very poor choice of words
Leaked: The EU Commission Work Programme is titled EUROPE’s INDEPENDENCE MOMENT (!).

How does @vonderleyen.ec.europa.eu intend to attain independence?

By essentially de-regulating the Union, what will prove self defeating as this is already building new and old dependency #euco

May be also a booster for #Orban's weak performance in the polls ahead of the parliamentary elections in #Hungary next year
The Budapest meeting between Putin and Trump marks:

- strategic use of Hungary as the weakest link of the EU as geopolitical player

- subservient Orban owing more to Russia and the US than the EU

- a gift to Viktor Orban at the time he bashes the EU to save his political future.

Nothing to see here. Three buddies will gather together to pledge to each other to continue to violate both national and international law

HELP ! Question on German aliens law. When was the family reunification for the subsidiary protection beneficiairies introduced ? I would appreciate to have son intel on the modification of the Section 36 of the residence act. Thx !

In my region, they're constantly moving the border to other places and then returning

and that's my experience as a mid-aged blonde woman. My son is constantly subjected to questions about where he was and what he was doing on his way from work in the Netherlands. He's a young brown-hair man with a beard

oh, that's a thing from the past as well In Bayern, there are police checkpoints on smaller roads as well It feels disturbing driving by while looked at with suspicion by a man in a military uniform with an automatic weapon

For anyone who's travelled by car and, obviously a train or bus, the borders are visible and present. Schengen seems like a good memory from a past long gone. It's frustrating that the media music's still on while the EU is hitting the iceberg
