The European Commission has adopted stricter rules on visas for Russian nationals.

From now on, Russian nationals will no longer be able to receive multiple-entry visas. Instead, they will have to apply for a new single-entry visa each time they plan to travel to the EU, allowing closer scrutiny.

🚨 Just in: France has suspended Shein until the platform can demonstrate that it complies with French laws and regulations.

A first progress report will be provided within the next 48 hours, says the Finance Ministry.

On Nexperia, it appears the Commission was caught off guard by the US-China preliminary deal to resume exports from the Nexperia facilities in China.

"We're now engaging with the Chinese authorities to fully understand the operational details."

Ambassadors will be briefed on Wednesday.

Donald Trump says China has agreed to postpone for a year strict new controls on exports of rare earth metals. In exchange, the US tariffs on Chinese goods will be reduced from about 57% to a 47% rate.

Rob Jetten says he envisions a coalition with GroenLinks-PvdA (Greens-Socialists), VVD (liberals) and CDA (Christian Democrats). But VVD has said it will not enter a coalition with the Greens-Socialists.

Another (riskier) option for Jetten: D66, VVD, CDA and the hard-right JA21.
