No problem! Most journalists seem to think Mandelson was the US ambassador

Minor point: M was the British ambassador to the US.

Of course the usual suspects and hacks are calling for Starmer to resign over appointing Mandelson.

An ‘error of judgment’, they say…

These are the same people who ignored far more serious and numerous errors of judgement by the likes of Johnson and Farage.

Boring and predictable hypocrites.

Starmer will be maligned, mocked and taunted for sometime….

His legacy for me though will remain a man who tore apart the dangerous Johnson and brought that monstrous Tory government to its knees.

I’m in part devastated for him. He remains in my eyes a good man who was so badly advised.

What Starmer should do is announce a full inquiry into all interference of foreign nationals/corps with 🇬🇧 political sphere, dating back as far as 2010 & incorporating Brexit.

Labour's new National Cancer Plan will have a long term commitment that 75% of people diagnosed with cancer will either be cancer free or living well after 5 years (from 60%).

This would represent the fastest rate of improvements in cancer outcomes for a century and save thousands of lives.

Three in four cancer patients to survive long term under new plan
Patients will receive faster diagnosis, quicker treatment, and the support to live well with cancer under the government’s landmark new National Cancer Plan.

Tonight, Labour MPs voted to scrap the two child limit – a move that puts us on course to drive the biggest reduction of child poverty in a single Parliament.

The Tories and Reform UK voted against it.

Don’t let anyone tell you voting Labour doesn’t make a difference 🌹

Labour hasn’t abandoned the left. Breakfast clubs, extra free school meals, best start centres, 30 hrs free child care etc are all left wing policies. Polanski’s policies of leaving NATO, Nuclear disarmament and talking to Putin to get peace are naive at best but I’d say reckless.

I raised £1300 (originally I aimed for £250) and walked 72.77 miles! Thank you to everyone who donated. I'm so grateful. This account is live for another month if anyone wants to donate any more.

Except Trump has made it abundantly clear that no action from a supposed ally, and no agreement with them, will make the slightest difference to his future behaviour. And the rest of the US government is equally clear that they won't restrain him.

An important point for Tottenham, themselves. And a big boost to Arsenal.

You really do not need to be a liberal or on the left to look at that kid and think that kidnapping him is inhuman.
Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

Thank you. My late Dad had dementia so it is a cause close to my heart.

At some point on Friday I passed the 50 mile mark! I'm also closing in on £1250 in donations (my original target was £250). Please help me get to my new target & thus support this fantastic cause.

No.

It did - great telly!

Agreed! And Stephen was brilliantly treacherous too. Felt sorry for Faaraz. Really took to the lad.

Realistically Starmers future now hangs in the balance of a by-election… If he denies Burnham standing and Labour lose. Wow.

Burnham has risked permanent destabilisation of the party to try and become PM, its personal ambition at the most crucial point in this Parliament…

Ego over sense.

Big backtrack from Trump tonight

A leader. We are lucky to have him as PM. First decent one since Gordon Brown.
