It would be a bigger concern if no problems were found, because it would suggest that tests were inadequate. No software is perfect, especially in pilot versions. I have built software myself, and there is no such thing as a finished product. Software development is a continual process.

Yup!

I've been involved in such testing in the past at work. It's something we do regularly and finding issues is the whole point, so you can fix them! It's unlikely you don't find some sort of issues - I'd be concerned the testing wasn't thorough enough if none at all were found.

Penetration testing is standard procedure for IT based developments, and should form part of any credible cyber security strategy. Finding these issues means they can be addressed before roll out.

But what she is doing is proving she doesn't understand the point of the tests in the first - which is a totally shocking admission from a Shadow Science and Technology Secretary.

An MP (Labour I think) interveened to say he was surprised at her stance- the whole point of the testing is standard proceedure to FIND those vulnerabilities.

She claimed he misrepresented her! She said there isn't an issue with testing the systems, but there is with the tests failing.

Embarassing contribution from the Tory Shadow Science & Technology Scretary in the debate on the Cyber Security & Reslience Bill.

She brought up red team testing on government digital identification systems last year, which found vulnerabilities. She suggested this was a failure of government.

Reform UK David Thomas' dodgy business practices.

It was revealled that his company Dr Squeegees had been taking down signs of his rivals and driving off with them.

So the rivals put an air tag on the sign and tracked it to a vehicle on the job.

BUSTED Cllr David Thomas of Reform UK Torfaen.

Populist bullshitter Alexandra Phillips is on BBC2 Politics Live. Why? Because privately funded populist channel 'Talk' pays her to present on there, and the BBC feels duty-bound to represent all opinion... and thereby make it mainstream.

This is how it works.

Hilarious, the whole ‘Has Mumsnet fallen for Farage?’ is answered in this paragraph.

Also, this is 2026, not 2009.

Everything has to be a drama, bring back factual and investigative reporting and ditch the polls. Reform and Farage funding links should provide endless pages of type.

More from Starmer’s political cabinet today, where he told ministers to ignore Labour’s dire poll ratings

“I do not underestimate the scale of the task. But I have no doubt about this team. Governments do not lose because polls go down. They lose when they lose belief or nerve. We will do neither.”

Details of the deal are not finished but the bill will go through parliament in parallel with EU negotiations

Without a hint of irony, Kemi Badenoch - after doing the full ‘Trump was right’ on Venezuela for best part of 10 minutes - when asked about Brexit on Radio 4 Today says ‘sovereignty matters’

Then asked for one big policy, says cutting net zero

Fundamentally unserious

Kemi Badenoch on R4 on Maduro kidnapping: "I understand why America has done it ... Where the legal certainty is not quite clear, morally I do think it was the right thing to do ... I grew up under a dictatorship so I know what it's like to have someone like Maduro in charge."

So, hey - how are vapid British idiotic journalists coping with boring Starmer, you might ask.
They prepared an alternative PMQs for him on Wednesday. Instead of sitting in Parliament - which he is paid for, he’ll open his traitorous gob with these two shitheads at the Times studio. #UKMedia
