Since the Government came into office, Bridget Phillipson and the Department of Work and Pensions have chaired the child poverty task force which, recommends scrapping it. This, wishes from her cabinet members, and her own beliefs are likely to be what is driving Reeves to the decision.
Before Zack Polanski dares try to take credit for the abolition of the two child benefit cap that may happen in the budget, Starmer told the Treasury in May that they should scrap it. Bridget Phillipson, has indicated for a long time that it should be abolished. It was a matter of when, not if.

I guess we’ll never know.

They announced consultants Newton would do a £1.4m savings review.

That’s ballooned to £30m in 6 just days.

Leader Dan Harrison is a con man.

Leicestershire you’ve been had.

I hope people are paying attention, this is what 6 months of a Reform Council brings, chaos and danger. The Fire Service in Kent can no longer perform their job adequately because of lack of funding due to the disarray of their Reform Council.

A shambles and a threat to public safety. This is what happens when you elect a bunch of bigoted incompetents into power. Farage and his “showpiece” council, Snake oil Nigel shoots his mouth off, and chaos ensues, the story of his life.

Want to know why the prisons system seems to be suddenly falling apart?

Well, it's not sudden. It's just suddenly being REPORTED. This rot was a deliberate policy choice, and I kept the receipts. Because I'm not the BBC.

The reaction to the Panorama edit has been nothing short of hysterical. Yes the BBC has some impartiality problems. But its biggest isn't the one you think.

Absolutely right. I criticise BBC News, because we need it to be as good as we know it can be. People like Farage criticise the BBC, because they work for its competitors and don't want it to exist.
🎯 Davey is spot on. "We can have criticism of the BBC, but within that, we need to recognise how valuable an institution it is [and how] precious to our country. And that's one of the reasons why people like President Trump and Nigel Farage, want to undermine the BBC." 👏🏽~AA

I've always felt that Johnson and Farage put self-interest over the national interest - hence their dallying with Putin and his oligarchs. But directly colluding with a foreign government to take down the BBC feels like an act of supreme treachery
