Nobody is more angry about Burnham not being allowed to stand than our political ‘journalists’. They have been deprived of months if not years of drama and yet more grist for the mill of their tedious little podcasts.

- We are suffering economically
- We are more vulnerable in our interests, intelligence, safety, security and governance outside of the EU
- Hostile foreign powers including increasingly so America
- It’s the right thing to do

If I was Starmers political advisor, I’d tell him to arrange a meeting with the EU and ask permission for us to rejoin the CU/SM and ideally the full thing via a referendum.
Then run the full thing based on the fact the world has changed and we have unreliable allies outside of EU
