I’m going to share the screenshots of me talking about it with someone because I’m sick of quietly warning people. This happened in Oct.
“So for some context, I’m a pretty open book about most of what I’ve been through and go through in terms of like, my mental health and life and whatnot. I’ve been through some shit (though who hasn’t), and being both physically and mentally chronically ill is honestly like a modern day Sisyphus a lot of the time. So I’m upfront about a lot of it, especially in a BDSM context, because it means that my limits have to be reevaluated on a nearly daily basis, you know? “The job situation can be summed up as verbally abusive and toxic, and since I genuinely don’t have the option to get out of it right now, I’m stuck just keeping my head down and trying not to let the way I hear my boss and supervisor talking about people like me completely beat me down. There’s 20 years of aggression and resentment among the other staff boiling over, and it feels like I’m walking into a fucking war zone every time I come into the office. It’s so uncomfortable, and then add in my boss regularly calling me stupid for things he’s responsible for happening. It’s also an organizational nightmare and I can’t get a straight answer on a single question ever. So I’m stuck in this shit 40 hours a week, which is just destroying my mental health. “I’ve been making porn and stuff for a while, but only really started getting back into it when I joined the audio erotica community, and this is the first time I’m really making friends and coworking relationships within that, so I’m having to navigate some new things within that. One of the big things is that I’m really starting to feel a lot of things around the fact that I’m in my 30s and have never had a partner or even been on a date (which, to be clear, is not something I’m *ashamed* of). It’s not for lack of trying, I’ve never had an issue telling someone I’m interested, but I’ve got a 100% rejection rate at this point. I’ve been contending with the ways that lack of intimacy has started to manifest, from the constant loneliness becoming sharper to latching on to nice things people say to me, to feeling like an outsider sometimes. Plus the closest thing I’ve had to was an abusive situationship that completely shattered who I was. It’s the reason I left Hawaii, and honestly, I’m really fucking proud of who I’ve built myself into from these pieces, but it was fucked up and it left some pretty lasting damage and anxieties that pop up like nasty little saboteurs every once in a while. I also did not have a loving childhood by any means—that’s an entirely different story, but its relevance here is that as a result, I don’t know what it feels like to be genuinely loved, just “loved” as a means of control, so I really struggle to tell when someone is being disingenuous with me. That said, I firmly believe in taking people at their word, so if someone tells me something, I’m going to trust by verify until they’ve earned my trust more fully. So I’ve got a long history of loneliness, abuse, and rejection that makes me want to latch on to anyone who shows me even the smallest inkling of emotional intimacy in a sexual setting. Which is not a great thing to have in a sex work space tbh, but I’m able to mitigate that response like… 90% of the time, I’d say. So Silver followed me for a little bit and interacted on my posts for a while before DMing me to ask about some of my darker kinks and stuff. Started off just talking about fictional stuff, the he asked about potentially sexting and swapping nudes, that fun stuff. I haven’t gotten to really sub for someone in the way I really want to, so I was super here for the whole thing. We also chatted outside of playtime like that, and he showed a genuine interest in me as a person outside of a sexual context. Then he decided to play a “prank” on me where he made me think that he had been lying about being 30 and had actually just turned 18. I absolutely took him to task and told him what a shitty thing that is to do (particularly because I personally have a firm boundary that I don’t play with anyone under 21, and 21-25 is like 50/50) and he apologized sincerely, and started working to earn my trust. I told him he could do so, but that I was ending the D/s aspect because I *will* not sub for someone who has broken my trust at any point. His apologies seemed like he understood why I was so upset with him, and he did start working to regain my trust. I was kind of on the fence about it, but the he warned me about another “Dom” who had been making moves on me. The guy was a legitimate pedophile and misogynist and just disgusting excuse for a human being, and he warned me before he was publicly outed and ousted later that day (he knew the guy’s long term sub and she told him when she found out, and he told me). That was enough for me to be like “okay, I can trust you again.” We went back to swapping nudes and videos, but minus the D/s dynamic. Things were fun, then he started saying things that felt… not platonic. At first I was like “okay this is me reading into things because of my loneliness and stuff.” But it kept happening, and he was getting more and more emotionally intimate with me. We were talking one day about both of us dealing with a lot of shit, and I asked if I could do anything to help, and his response was “take care of yourself like I’m taking care of you and that’ll be all I need. That and a picture of your smiling face so I can feel better.”

Following hundreds of victim impact statements from people describing how their lives were ruined in the $40 billion Terra implosion in 2022, Do Kwon has been sentenced to fifteen years in prison. He may also serve additional time if sentenced in his home country of South Korea.
In the courts Do Kwon Do Kwon, founder of the collapsed Terra/Luna project, has been sentenced to fifteen years in prison — three more than the twelve years sought by prosecutors1a and well above the five requested by his defense.2 Judge Paul Engelmayer said the upward variance reflected the scale of Kwon’s fraud — both monetarily and in its more than one million victims — and Kwon’s decision to flee [I4], remaining at large for months before he was caught in Montenegro attempting to travel to Dubai on a fake passport [I23]. The disparity from fellow crypto fraudster Sam Bankman‑Fried’s 25‑year term likely stems from Kwon’s decision to plead guilty to two wire‑fraud counts, securing a deal in which prosecutors dropped seven other charges, rather than take the case to trial. Kwon’s Terra project unraveled in May 2022 in a $40 billion crash after the algorithmic stablecoin lost its dollar peg and ultimately went to zero. Investors drawn by supposedly “risk‑free” yields for holding “dollars” learned that Terra (UST) was not a dollar, and that the yields were anything but risk‑free. One victim who spoke at Kwon’s sentencing, a Russian woman living in the country of Georgia, explained that she had been living on the streets after her “$81,000 turned into $13 that I could hold in the palm of my hand.” Other victims described suicides of friends who had invested in Terra, their own thoughts of ending their lives, families breaking up, postponed retirements and schooling, the inability to pay medical bills, and lives ruined.3 I purchased the PACER documents so that anyone can read the victim impact statements for themselves, and highlighted some of them. Kwon, a South Korean national, also faces charges at home. Before sentencing, Judge Engelmayer asked about likely outcomes there, including the likely sentence length if he is convicted and whether it would run concurrently with any US sentence. Prosecutors reported they had limited insight but noted that Korean sentencing could range from six years to indefinite; however, Korea has never imposed indefinite terms for fraud offenses, sentences of 30 or more years are rare, and courts frequently depart below prosecutorial recommendations. They also noted that any sentence imposed in Korea would be reduced by the amount of time he serves in the US.4 Engelmeyer ultimately included a requirement that Kwon serve at least half of his fifteen-year sentence in the US before he can apply for a transfer to South Korea.5

Husk was not having the best day. He was...happy? That the hotel seemed to finally be attracting more guests, and that for now it seemed the possibility of extermination seemed to be lowered. But did it mean he had to be the one constantly making drink after drink for these new people? He especially was pissed at one who had dared to ask for an elaborate drink, one who had tried to grope Angel. He also had to keep placing Fat Nuggets on the floor behind the bar to keep him away from the guests (particularly the one who kept asking if "he should kill his wife"), and giving him a bowl of nuts to keep him from eating the ones on the bar. "Where the fuck's my cocktail?" an octopus demon with multiple arms already holding several drinks cried out. "It's fucking coming. Maybe finish those ones before you fucking pester me," Husk grumbled under his breath. But he took a deep one to try to ease. "Coming," he told the customer. That's when he suddenly caught sight of a mouse sinner demon sitting on the barstool, and groaned. "Look, I'm in the middle of making 20 of these things, mind waiting a second?" he asked, trying his damndest not to look annoyed. It wouldn't be a good look to get short, at least not with someone not actively getting on his nerves. "Oh no, I don't actually drink, buuuut I noticed you didn't have anyone to help pass these out, allow me!" the mouse sinner replied, quickly taking the tray. "Who do they go to?" They were talking fairly fast, a weird combination of eager yet nervous. Husk blinked. Normally he didn't like people touching his stuff at the bar, but he was really running out of space to care right now. He also took notice the sinner seemed to be part mouse, part....robot? "Uh, sure," he said, handing them the receipts. "And uh, you are?" "Oh! Esme Byrne, of up and coming tech company Byrne Inc.!" Esme said, bowing. "Pleased to make your acquaintance sir!" They quickly scurried off with the drinks. Husk blinked. "Alright, at least that's one concern out of the way," he muttered, beginning to wipe up a spill on the counter.

I don’t think anyone is paying us these days.” “Well, sometimes you work just for the love of it,” Mikiva deadpanned. They both stared at each other for a moment, then broke down laughing. The hysterical, manic type of laughter that spoke more to shared desperation than humor. I've had kids off school to look after and no real help. H is annoyed with me. He's barely speaking to me, crashing around the place looking for things that I've apparently lost, asking pointed questions about has such-and-such been done, when he knows I've barely been able to wash. He hasn't acknowledged that I'm ill. When I mention it he pretends its funny playing a tiny violin, or ignores me, or says yes he's got a cold too but feels better when he just gets on with it. He makes me feel so needy and pathetic, when in reality I'm neither. I can't stand him when he's like this. Right. You asked me to investigate that flat that he lived in down in Boothby Road, and that’s what I do. I take the Northern Line up to Archway and walk the rest of the way down there. It’s still quite early then, and I find the building easily enough. It looks just like Mr. Vittery said it did in his statement, and there’s a big thick door on the front, that looks like it leads into the hall and then to the flats. Obviously it’s locked so I try the buzzers, but nobody’s answering and I figure they’re probably all out at work. I didn’t want to come back to you without due diligence, though – I’ve learned that lesson – so I have a look around the place to see if there’s another way I could go in and have a poke around. Sure enough, as I walk round, I spy a basement window that’s slightly ajar. It isn’t much, but I reckon I can squeeze through it if I try. I was heading home when I got to thinking, and I was worried I hadn’t really done enough investigation for you, since I got so freaked out by the basement and all. And then I remembered that I’d seen quite a lot of spider webs in the brief time I was down there, and maybe I should check it out again. I mean, like I said, I’m not really afraid of spiders. So… I went back for another look. It was… faint, just a rustling, really. I didn’t want to check it out, I really didn’t. I’ve catalogued and looked into enough of these cases to know that following the noise is always a really, really bad idea, but… I mean… it’s my job, isn’t it? So, I slowly moved towards it, keeping my torch held in front of me like a… like a shield. The beam was so much weaker than I had thought it was, and it only lit up the stark outlines of the shelves and detritus that littered the basement. The movement had stopped, or at least I couldn’t hear it anymore, and I’d almost made up my mind to just turn around and leave, when my torch fell across what looked like a human figure. I had the oddest thought, then, and even as I backed away towards the stairs, I started to get my phone out. The daft thing is I wasn’t even going to call anyone for help, I just wanted to take a picture of the thing. To prove to you that it happened – you’re always so quick to dismiss these statements and I wanted proof for you. Except, well, I managed to drop it, of course. Just as I was bringing up the camera app, one of the worm-things reached at me and leapt at my face. That thing jumped literally 6 feet through the air at my face. It missed me, but I was so taken aback that I fell onto the stairs behind me, and dropped my phone to the ground. I-I didn’t stop to pick it up, I just fled up the stairs as fast as I could.
