Sylvie: This is a pretty area, Ellie, wow... Right beside that big water wheel... Ellie: I used to come here to think, back when I was studying medicine. Sylvie: I know that I'd love to being Milah here. Ellie: Heh, this is where I met Milah. Sylvie: Really?! Ellie: Yep. She was just getting in to the leather guild. Real young... I might have actually met her before I met Sakura... For the longest time, I thought that I met Milah through Su, but I remember... She was crafting herself a makeshift sheath for her hunting knife. She might have been living here still, while Su just located to Limsa. Sylvie: Oh my gosh, that's so cool! Was young Milah a different person than she is now? Ellie: She was... maybe 17-18 at the time? And from what I remember, because we just passed by each other a lot, she was really popular here. Carried herself like a superstar... I guess that's why she ended up joining the Twin Adder and going on to play Frontline. She never acknowledged me, but I wasn't looking for that- I just saw her a lot when I would come here to study. She was really loud, but confident. She seemed like a lot of fun. Sylvie: I love that... When I met her in Vana'diel, last year, she seemed so mature, but at the same time very lost... Ellie: Mil's been through a lot... Like a LOT a lot... Poor thing... Sylvie: Did you meet Sakura later, then? Ellie: A couple years later, I wrapped up here and was going to make my way to Ala Mhigo, and, at the time, it was still under the ruling of Garlemald, the... I guess, "evil empire." It was a dangerous road because they would snatch up would be and soon-to-be chirurgeons and make them join their military. I was lucky enough to avoid all of that. Anyways, I was looking for a place to stay and I overheard a girl saying that she couldn't afford her place and I said, hey, I'm looking for somewhere to crash. Wanna split? That's how Sakura and I met. Sylvie: Eliona, you have lived a life! So, what did you wanna talk about? Ellie: I-uhh... Ah... Please bear with me- I'm not good at explaining things, or really talking about stuff... Sylvie: It's okay, I understand. I'm very scatterbrained myself. My head is racing like a rabbit because I dnever thought that you and I would ever sit together like this, so I'm very nervous. Ellie: I suppose it is like us meeting each other for the first time... Sylvie, I'm sorry. I'm Sharlayan... We tend to... Keep to ourselves a lot, and after almost losing Milah... I had a lot of time to reflect on myself and I have not been a very good friend... To... to anyone. Umm... I just feel bad because you and I only had moments like this, maybe, a couple of times? I love hanging out in Solution Nine with the Street Rats, but I'm not much of a people person, and I've been trying to change that... Which is why I wanted to hang out with you here... I need to ask you something... I can't ask Suomi, because she would not understand. Sylvie: Ellie... It's okay. I'm really glad that you wanna hang out with me... What do you wanna ask? Ellie: Before you met Milah... Did you ever have a crush on someone before? Sylvie: Me? Oh, gosh... Maybe... A long, long time ago... When I was much younger... I kinda knew that I was never going to be good enough, so I never pursued anything from it... Ellie: Forgive me if I'm prying, but why didn't you feel good enough? Sylvie: Despite what you might have heard of Adoulin, the west end wasn't as... Well off... I was a poor girl who lived with my dad. My mother died when I was a kid. The east side was the wealthy side... Since that's where all of the government people were. Ellie: What was Arciela's role in all of that? Sylvie: She had no say... She was usually down in the west end, helping us, finding solutions to our food and water issues... She really tried for us... Even though she's my age, she was a born leader, like a Milah... That's why we all called her Princess, even though she had no power, it was out of respect. Sylvie: Anyways, I'm sorry, I had to get up. Ellie: No worries... Please, continue... Sylvie: Umm... I never got to see Arciela much... The other Geomancers made sure that I stayed away from her... They went as far as threatening to have me removed from the city if I got near her... Ellie: What the fuck? Why would they do that? Sylvie: It's complicated... My family was misunderstood. One of my ancestors was a disciple of the first ever Geomancer of Vana'diel, and companion of the founder of Adoulin, King August... Arciela's ancestor. He had a different understanding of the lifestream and it was seen as, I don't know, sacrilege, against the original teachings of Sih Renaye. AS a result, my father and I were... Not respected among the other Geomancers, even though it's in our bloodline. That's why I felt like that I was never good enough for anyone... Not just one person. I carried that weight with me for my entire life. Despite having very little growing up, I never lost hope. That all changed when I met Milah... When my father was killed, and I had no one with me, Milah was the only one who helped bury my father, beside my original ancestor, Zacariah... It turns out, she helped everyone realize that Zacariah's teachings were correct all along, and the other Geomancers had to be smartened up by it... It's a super long story and I'm sorry for rambling... I also was in favour of colonizing, but not for the same reasons some of the other government people did... They were only interested in lining their pockets. Ellie: So you were further misunderstood... It's okay, hun... Wait... Was your first ever crush Arciela? Sylvie: ... Yes... Crazy, right? Poor girl in the dirty shirt with social issues, because I was never allowed around people... Liking the Princess... I cried a lot, Ellie. She'll never know... She can't know... Ellie: Sylvie, I... I don't know what to say... Do you... Still have those feelings? Sylvie: They reignited... an hour ago... Ellie: When we all met... Awe, Sylvie... Can I tell you something? Sylvie: You too? Ellie: The moment I first laid eyes on her, at the Isle of Val... I had to do everything I could to help her... I'm forever grateful to the Forum for assigning me to Milah's case...But... Yea... Yesterday, before we all met up for your party, I hurt her... And I felt something that I've never really felt before. Like, it hurt. Sylvie: Was is love? Ellie: Remorse... It made me realize just how much of an awful person I can be at times... I'll say things out of emotion, and I should be better than that... I had to catch up with her, and seeing her crying... It hurt me. More than anything that ever had before... I felt like I was being stabbed. Sylvie: Ellie... Ellie: But, I'm kind of like you, in a way... I'm not good enough. I'm not a good person. Sylvie: I think you are... I think you're just too hard on yourself... If you see your faults and are working to fix them, that must count for something, right? Ellie: Yea. Yea, I guess it does... For what it's worth, Sylvie, You are more than good enough... You have a pure soul. Sylvie: I appreciate that... But what about you? I think you should tell her, too... Ellie: Ah, maybe when the time is right...

Arciela: I ran to Wescolina, because I knew she was like a motherly figure for Sylvie. She... She told me that Sylvie and the one called Milahvee, the... "Warrior from the other world" had left to find Atomos. She told me that you were saying that Etheirys was a world like our own. I would have liked to hear about it... I returned to the castle and once i had your Trust avatars, three days later, you two were probably already back here, but when I summoned you... It felt so real, like I was actually meeting you. You, or, the avatar asked "What can I do for you, honey?" and I started crying. Milahvee: You started crying? Arciela: No one had ever called me "honey" before... It sounded so intimate... and you consoled me... Told me that whatever trouble I was in, you were going to help fix it. I believed you. We had to find the cure to my brother's curse. Arciela: I took you inside the castle, which was very rare, since outsiders, even Adoulinians were permitted inside... I took you to my room and I continued sobbing. I couldn't hold my feelings in anymore, because it felt like things were spiraling out of control. I felt like I couldn't help my own people anymore. All of the factions were fighting over do we colonize or do we not. Milah, I gave up... I couldn't do it anymore... I was going on and on about all of my problems to you. I was crying, I was upset- I... I couldn't control myself anymore! Milahvee: Awe, princess... How... Umm... How was I able to help at that point? Arciela: You slapped me... Milahvee: I hit you?! Awe, Arciela, I'm so sorry... That my avatar would do that... That's so fucked up, buddy! Arciela: It's okay, Milah... Because I liked it... Milahvee: Oh, shit, I-uhhh.. Didn't know you were like that, princess... That's... Hot... Arciela: Hehehe, really? <Oh, Milah... If only you knew what I did to myself that night... Mmmm...> Milahvee: What happened after that? <Oh, she's so frrreaky... Wow, Mil, you turning in to a Mithra now?> Arciela: At first, I was shocked... But I had this wave of adrenaline. It was something that I needed, because I had lost my way... the Geomancers had lost their way, my brother... I needed that kick to the rear to get my head back on straight. I had a plan and we made for the library... There, I was able to learn more about the Ortharsyne, my family heirloom, the dagger in which I carry. I also needed to read more on Zacariah's writings of the lifestream, and the relationship between nature and geomancer... It turns out that Sylvie was a lot smarter than the others realized... and that I was unaffected by the curse that was put on my brother, because I was one with nature. My goal was to respect and protect her... We had to find a dragon... A dragon that once was a companion of my ancestor; the first King of Adoulin, August... Milahvee: So that dagger you have belonged to the original king... How cool... Did we find the dragon? Arciela: We did. He was injured... By Hades... He needed his scales back, and we had to fight Hades' henchmen to get them. You were the one who obtained them and Sajj'aka deemed us worthy of his help to confront Hades in a place called Ra'Kaznar; a labyrinth located somewhere in the Kamihr Drifts: a mountain. We fought against, and managed to reseal Hades in the tomb that August kept him in, with other adventurers, but you... You were the one who was with me all the way... Milahvee: That's a beautiful story. I'm glad that I was able to help with that... <My heart is racing, damn...>

It was an island, right? and the west end was part of the mainland... Arciela: Correct. The west end was supposed to be the end of the colonization effort. Anyways, after you two left, my brother was cursed... and turned in to a diminutive leaf person... Because he wanted to restart the efforts. I turned to the head of the Geomancers... Ikhi Askamot, Sylvie's mentor. Milahvee: She talks very highly of her... I did meet her and one other one... Her name escapes me, but they were... Apprehensive of my presence. Arciela: That is because the coalitions within the city started to hire midlanders to do their dirty work... However, the geomancers were also the ones who were causing their own sickness, and in turn, turned nature against us... I never knew Sylvie... I only knew of her, from the others looking down on her and her family, because of their sordid lineage... However, it would be revealed that they were gravely misunderstood... Poor Sylvie... Spending her entire life as some kind of pariah... Milahvee: It wasn't your fault, princess... I know Sylvie never once said anything bad about you or the Order of Renaye, despite how they treated her... She's a pure soul. Arciela: She is and that's why, when you two left, I asked Ihki for her Trust avatar magics... I had to travel to Jeuno to obtain yours, but I was made aware of the misunderstanding of Sylvie's bloodline, and when you and her cured Lhaiso of her sickness, I had to travel to the west side, but she was gone. I was too late...
