In Australia, “not the full” is used as a prefix to assigned pastry/biscuit/confectionary et al.

Not the full Iced VoVo
Not the full Tim Tam
Not the full Pavlova

"Bit of a" is also used
Bit of a Poly Waffle

So is "Ya", as in, Ya *Lamington!!
*term of endearment used as in dickhead and or c**t

Besides fairy bread & lamingtons, great food scene. Sydney is good for cycling. You can hire bikes on the street. Many places in the city & surrounds to explore. Also easy public transport incl ferries across the Harbour. Festivals & markets all year round. Oh, Beaches! Visit, you won't regret it! 🌞

Omg! You hardly ever see lamingtons. My mum used to make them when I was a kid.

THIS IS NOT A DRILL: M&S have lamingtons!!!!! 😍 Do slice the jam and cream rosette off the top and smush it into your halved cakey part for maximum effect. 🥰 #ExpatLife 🇦🇺

I can’t buy and eat my lamingtons in that time! I’ll get coconut flakes everywhere trying that.

There are not small

Did you know you can buy 6 frozen lamingtons at Oxford Pies for $7.50
And they're SUPER squishy and fluffy.

6. Maybe 8. I’m not from the US so there’s a couple I don’t know. Also, I’m allergic to milk so cheese is out. Shame, I actually love blue cheese! There’s only 4 that I know I don’t like.

Maybe I should make an Australian version & confuse all the US peeps with lamingtons, damper, pepperberries etc

Nope. Initially thought of Lamingtons but those are cake not pastry, and I don’t think very well known here, more of an AUS/NZ thing though I think M&S are doing them at the moment.

Australia, land of lamingtons & exporter of gold, iron ore, coal, copper, lithium, bauxite, uranium & now rare-earth minerals. Could well be a winner for Down Under but sounds like we also need to make those high-grade magnets for the windmills here as well.

Australia and the US have signed a critical minerals deal to take on China’s monopoly. Here’s what you need to know
The move is intended to support the supply of minerals to benefit both countries’ commercial and defence industries – and shareholders are already profiting

I baked lamingtons for the office today…and just realised they’re still in a tote bag hanging in my kitchen.

Sorry, pals. No baked goods today.

I might be slightly pissed off by these developments. Hard to tell for sure, though.

Please send emergency lamingtons.🙃

If I can make edible Nanaimo bars, you can definitely make delicious lamingtons!

Rock cakes? Don't waste good Lamingtons.

A fortune to be made in dildo shaped lamingtons surely

Smashing MPs windows is a dick move, some of the glass got on Kobe the dog and that is unforgiveable! Throw mud, throw Lamingtons, throw dildos but don't throw rocks. Also personally think stalking their house is a step too far, their office is personal enough #NZPol

Pavlova wars. The antipodean battle between kiwis and Aussies over authenticity

That and Lamingtons

Oh! I've seen so many "scones" at coffee shops. Most coffee shops seem to serve cheesecake, tiramisu, or scones. A handful do a sort of pie, or a muffin. I've not seen many croissants! (And no like lamingtons or lolly cake, so not AU or NZ inspired.)
