There's a scene I cut from Echoes of Chaos where Eryn was attacked by a maid while enjoying a bath (cue naked run-in with her LI). So much changed about the book it had to go, but I loved the choreography of her escape so much, I reused some of it for a scene in Reborn in Ash.

I haven’t had a curry since January and I suddenly got a craving for one 😭 The last one I had triggered a gallstone flare bad enough to land me in A&E and I haven’t dared since, even homemade ones.

This year seems so much worse than last year. It's the first time I've seen flowers blooming outside in November (UK). I've been so sad every time I see them. I also saw a bumblebee still awake last week.
It's a week into November and I have my windows open. Don't try to tell me that climate change isn't real and *in our faces right now*.

A bunch of writer friends are noting that they have not used LLMs to write. Me either, absolutely not. I feel like we need to stop asking kids what they want to BE when they grow up and start asking them what they want to DO. Because: I am not here to BE A WRITER, I am here to WRITE.

To summarise Etsy's response re them charging 20% VAT on ebooks which are zero-rated in the UK:
"Lol soz, our system can't handle that."
I am absolutely willing to complain to HMRC about them over this. Seems like fraud to me!

I’m doing some editing on Echoes of Chaos and 6yo is drawing next to me, making dot-to-dots for me to do. We’re gradually making a scene with a rainbow, mountains, and flowers.

Morning out with the kids today to spend pocket money and play on some awesome play stuff at a community centre. It’s wheelchair accessible so I like to come spend a little at the cafe to support them. Plus they have gingerbread syrup.
