Good article Michael 🙏🏽

I note with interest that ASIO claim they signed off on the younger guy as "No longer a threat"

He was watched from Oct 2019, then suddenly ceased being watched in March 2020 - coincidentally the beginning of the axing of 100s of ASIO staff and when covid began in earnest

This stuff reminds me that a lot of people just have no idea how bad the status quo really is:

Morwell was caked in poisonous smog. Yet we’re supposed to be angry about a wind turbine making people sick? Really?
Fire threatening Vic power assets
An out of control fire burning at a coal mine and paper mill near Morwell in eastern Victoria is creating problems for firefighters and people in the town.

Ford’s building "Ranger-sized" electric ute for $US30k (A$45k).The catch? It’s Kentucky-only for now. Ford says they need to "land the plane" in the US before they even think about shipping it to Oz. Meanwhile, the Asian #EV utes with real range are coming... get a move on Ford!

Darker than a burnt snag at Bunnings.
Engineers have built a "blackest-ever" solar cell that’s literally "darker than darkness." It uses "impossible" materials to hit record energy levels. finally a panel like i like my chocolate... dark....

It's darker than darkness — Blackest-ever solar cell absorbs sunlight and produces record energy thanks to this "impossible" material
From darkness, light, and so much more is born, all thanks to the blackest-ever solar cell that absorbs sunlight to produce record renewable energy.

If you’re protesting a new wind turbine because you’re worried about the birds, I hope you’re also protesting your neighbour's cat.
that 1 cat can kill more birds than 20 turbines!

Interesting data (from Waymo) showing that robotaxis are significantly safer than the average human driver. This is likely because they respect traffic rules. An NYT op-ed by a neurosurgeon calls for a broader adoption as a public health measure. Thoughts? www.nytimes.com/2025/12/02/o...

Can confirm. Kangaroos are waterproof. During heavy rain storm that just passed, they just sit there in the long grass and wait it out. About 50 mtrs from our longe room.

A growing body of research indicates that Texas's restrictive abortion bans have negatively impacted the health and lives of Texas women and babies in multiple ways. Across the board, pregnancy outcomes and complications have worsened.
What researchers have discovered about maternal, infant health under Texas' abortion laws
In the more than four years since the state of Texas significantly restricted access to abortion, medical researchers have been studying the health effects of that policy change.

Are efficiency standards required for #EVs? Will efficiency standards drive innovation in efficiency? More efficient motors? Regen? Better batteries? Improved aerodynamics? Or just throw on more capacity and not worry about it? Combustion fuel standards meant far more efficient petrol cars…

Will AI fix everything? Stock market thinks so! Then again the stock market doesn’t represent the economy. When AI bubble bursts, what will happens? AI doesn’t shop, go on holidays, buy groceries, buy clothes it’s doesn’t consume or take a trip. If t doesn’t contribute to the economy.

One of the greatest scams against employees is..

Forced leave.
You have 4 weeks paid annual leave but MUST take 2 weeks over the Christmas shutdown.

That 2 weeks serves the business. Not the employee.
