I actually HATE loving tech and programming youtube and watching tech and programming youtubers' bipolar switching between loving AI and telling people it sucks.

I probably sound like a broken record, but I cannot wait for this AI bubble to burst, I want to see the architects of this tech to be taken for every penny by those whose artwork they stole for training data, and I want those tools to cease function and be confined to the same memory hole as NFTs.
Ubisoft and Treyarch resorting to regurgitative AI in their big $70 “AAA” games is simply pathetic.

The lack of integrity, the lack of dignity, the lack of pride. Sure, it’s all expected, but nonetheless miserably *pathetic* to witness.

Have some fucking self respect for once.

I don't know what it's gonna take to get a little actual collective catharsis around high tech fraud and elite pedophile cabals, but I wish we could just get on with it already

I think the US tech advantage is just extremely brittle, especially if US foreign policy remains this dumb
The International Criminal Court is ditching Microsoft Office, saying it’s too dependent on US tech, in favor of Open Desk, a German open source alternative.

The move comes after Microsoft revoked ICC head Karim Khan’s email access when he was sanctioned by the US for the warrant against Netanyahu.

I am pretty sure tech issues aside that we’ll be referring to this also as “the Hitler years” just a different Hitler
This was written 50 years ago.

I wonder if in 25 years there will be situations like this about the “AI” years and whatever the current flavor of fascism will be known as then.

I miss new tech being actually interesting and exciting, instead of just the latest in running series of scams and/or spyware.
I miss when technology used to be fun.

Me whenever I get another pointless, inane notification for a feature on Windows that I didn't fucking ask for.

I just want to concentrate on a task, to focus. Why is that too much to ask for in the current tech climate?

Who the hell are these motherfuckers?

I entered 2025 resolved to look at the regime and explicitly tell myself "that is Babylon" and emotional detach when it came to them and their enablers, especially when it came to tech and retailers.

The Epstein emails really pushes that narrative almost to the point of parody, though
Being reminded Larry Summers is currently on the board of Open AI

All of the time -- and I mean ALL of the time -- I get messages from people in tech that if we just promoted people with the right engineering degrees, and the Technical People were in charge, all would be fixed. That is why I wrote Why I Cannot Be Technical. You either get it or you don't.

Visuals for this game are fucking insane it's actually so beautiful, here's what i could find abt the art team

art direction from Adam Volker, concepts from Ysabel Li and Vash Taylor, tech art/effects by Fiona Jeeva, environmental art by Thomas Fraser (links to portfolios below)
kudos to the team that worked on Ambrosia Sky for the "make things wet" shader. it's really fun to watch surfaces dry. Yes I'm spraying a corpse

It would be a bannable offense if I said what we should do to AI bros and tech bros
For real, check this out. Evil.

My personal story of trying to consistently only do “tech for good” type work for as much of my career as I could swing is that 100% of the “good” that I ever did has already been fully reverted by the tech industry itself. (In this case, sucks to have previously worked in climate tech, oh well!)
A new state-by-state evaluation of the projected energy and water use of "AI" data centers in the US. Looks… real bad. Like, "undoing tech sector climate gains" bad.

Strongly recommends immediately ensuring any & all new "AI" data centers to run on existing & expanded renewables grids. Which… yeah.

I want to see the AI company CEOs held legally accountable for the deaths their tech has caused, people who their AI chatbots have convinced to take their own lives, I want to see their assets distributed to the families of those victims, and they should be behind bars for those deaths.

I think a fascist regime promoting the 80+ extrajudicial murders they have actually done is more serious than saying a supporter of pedophilia should be killed. I actually don't think the second one is wrong because I don't have the stunted morality of a tech bro
