I assume it to be the result of a combination of two factors!

1. Trolls have more dextrous feet than other races, so wearing shoes would put them at a disadvantage.

2. The existence of bottled troll sweat in-game leads me to believe that they sweat a lot. So it's a hygiene thing, too.

I've been experimenting with one-pagers to condense my longer scouting reports into key insights for coaches. Basically: how to set a player up for success.

Here’s a draft for Piero Hincapié, whose time is near.
All-out, repeat intensity: Sustains high-intensity work through 90+ (recovery runs, counter-press jumps, potential for overlaps). Frame + movement: 6'0–6'1, plays “tall” vs wingers; long, dextrous legs; side-on, knees bent, short active steps. Leap lets him contest up a level; pre-aerial duel muscling improving. More feisty than domineering. Pace: Wide speed (CL top-end 34.8 km/h). Fastest when carrying up the left touchline; short recoveries solid, medium-or-longer excellent. Technique: Clean first touch, economical actions, but not a hips-loose winger-quality dribbler. Right foot functional but not overly interesting. Temperament: Formerly way over-amped (13Y/3R in 22/23); calibrating more: yellows/90 dropped (0.48→0.12), reds mostly gone last two seasons, still hints of over-aggression. Smart, tactically aware, adjusted to Alonso quickly. Ferocious in duels, composed in possession.

My headcanon is that certain Belmonts are just better with certain subweapons and less dextrous with others. Like the knife is useless in Rondo IMO but I feel that it can be situationally useful with Trevor, for example.

Some time later and with her white skin slowly absorbing the beads of moisture she had left there from her quick rinse under the shower, Petra cautiously made her way up the ramp and onto the top deck of the ship. Alina’s datapad was still in her hand. As she crested the slope and peeked up into the big recreation space, she frowned. Three of the crew were here after all, despite the lateness of the cycle. Petra recognised the blonde human called Rune from her briefing with Luc back on the Prospector. The lover and first officer to Marcus Albright was holding a sceptis baby in both arms and was singing a nonsense song near the kitchen area of the deck. Then there was the feline woman whose name hadn’t yet been figured out by Disciples intelligence, plus a total unknown, a slaveem with pink skin and a huge pair of tits. Both aliens were standing at the big, circular metal table in the centre of the deck. The cat was using her dextrous hands to roll out long lengths of dough into noodles on a cutting board, and the slime had her pink hands coated in flour as she kneaded a lump of new bread into shape. And at the stove, two metal pots were bubbling with a reddish sauce. And that smell! Petra was confident she had masked the sound of her stomach rumbling with her arms, but the feline girl’s fuzzy, red ears swivelled towards her anyway. She peered down the ramp curiously. Then she smiled and waved one sticky hand in Petra’s direction.

i'm not of the mind that auri tails are very dextrous so the most Ori does is wrap his tail around his partners to keep them in place. Ori's tail is strong & he is often receiving from his partners so they're usually within tail grabbing distance. he squeezes it around their hips or torso
