#Sicilians
I only have one OC who could be used authentically in a Scene Swap of "The Godfather": my OC Oliver/Mario. Ironically, though, he's the LAST OC I would use in a Scene Swap of that movie. Not all Sicilians are in the Mafia and I won't imply that, ESPECIALLY not with this OC.

I’ve taken that approach recently after being exhausted by popular culture that only depicts Sicilians as mobsters.

As with #Italian Americans overall, #Sicilians proved they were "American" in the fullest sense of the word during World War II.

THEY SAID THE SAME THINGS ABOUT CHICAGO AND NYC IN THE 20s BECAUSE OF ALL THE SICILIANS.

JFC I just can’t with this idiot.

Perhaps the Sicilians would be Bretonnian Exiles & the Tileans be Renegade Crowns.

That said, those two lists overlap heavily.

Then again, that is the charm of the Renegade Crowns list.

You are supposed blend models of various factions in one mercenary force.

Ah... the ill fate of the artist...

Bretonnian knights is what made me want to learn model painting as a child; never painted a single knight.

I really want to do a Norman army in blue, white & red; knights, crossbows, archers, spears and go full medieval.

It overlaps with the Tilean mercenaries.

Stuffed crust pizza is very offensive to Sicilians

Sourcing additional curses from my fellow Italian Americans on Bluesky. Especially other Sicilians but I’ll take them from you northerners too.

The NRA has not been significant in 2A litigation for 30 years. To focus on it is like assuming organized crime is nothing but Calabrians and Sicilians. Actual litigants like The Second Amendment Foundation are far more effective.

You know what the Sicilians say about vengeance....
January 25, 2026 at 10:02 PM
A Sicilians get fucking pissed and we will fight right on

DNA evidence has thoroughly debunked the khazar hypothesis. Jewish people have very little in common genetically with Central Asian people, but they have a lot of Levantine ancestry and the people they are closest to are the Cypriots, Sicilians and Palestinians.

And with his offspring, this was often very true. We did not grow up huggy. We learned later. 😂
And don't talk about grudges. Norwegians could school Sicilians. Just quieter.
January 23, 2026 at 11:32 PM
...Maybe someone with lineage that's only northern Italian and refuses to be nice to Sicilians? That could be a HP Lovecraft level of racism with Italian characteristics.🤔
January 23, 2026 at 1:50 PM
The Sicilians would like a word too
January 23, 2026 at 3:17 AM
Just did a quick check & I can’t believe how common this was especially during the medieval period (always thought it was mostly limited to Ottomans, Sicilians, the Omani(Omanis?), etc.)

I'm over 70 and growing up Irish in a strongly Italian/Polish Chicago neighborhood, this is so true. The immigrant parent or grandparent differentiating Sicilians or Corsicans (yes, French, I know) from "real Italians" (They are so dark!) And the kids mostly shaking their heads.

Are there really that many Sicilians living in Minneapolis?
January 22, 2026 at 4:38 AM
But what if she’s right, Arthur? What if the Sicilians are right? That it’s this earth-shattering thing she felt? Something I’ve never felt. Have you?

This same statement describes Italians, Sicilians and Calabrians, who came to the US in the late 19th and early 20th century.
Trump: "The situation in Minnesota reminds us that the west cannot mass import foreign cultures which have failed to ever build a successful society of their own. We're taking people from Somalia and Somalia is a failed -- it's not a nation. Got no government, got no nothing."

Same for Sicilians and southern Italians.

the donjon is the fortified inner tower of a castle complex, although AoE2 players will know it as a standalone building unique to Sicilians that produces Serjeants (who in turn can build new Donjons, leading to a powerful strategy)

I mean, was it stored on its side? Just move the peps, my dude. I count 15 on the box and looks like you got at least 10. This happens to my Screamin’ Sicilians all the time.

We loved that place! Garlic knots and Sicilians (& very friendly staff) saved us when we couldn’t walk another step
