I can recommend it, overall it has aged remarkably well and has only gotten more relevant as time went on.

Ah, when the Rapture happens.
I’m sure the mass of dissatisfied transitioners will appear once the mass of COVID vaccine deaths show up.

You forget, cis people are worth more than trans people.

We're subhuman.

So the equation of a single detransitioner vs a thousand happy trans people is considered horrifying to them.

Our wellbeing never enters the equation, nor our agency, our autonomy nor human rights.

This entire 'debate' is so maddening. We have been promised that a groundswell of rushed, dissatisfied detransitioners was about to emerge for nearly a decade.

Not only have they never materialized, but academic research continues to show small numbers, long assessments and miniscule regret rates.

In the 1800's this was identified as the Urinary Leash bc there were very few public toilets made for women at the time for reasons of "protection and decency"

It served to trap women by keeping them out of public life and dependent

Limiting bathroom access has always been a tool of oppression
The end result of this is not that you don't get to use your choice of bathroom - it's that you don't get to use the bathroom at all.

Suddenly, you have to plan every trip with this in mind. Where are the toilets you know are safe? How long can you go without needing to use one?

I've said this before but we have more and better reason to believe that plants are conscious than we have to believe LLMs are, and the only reason why people take for granted that plants aren't but 'ai could be' is because their chatbots produce text that looks like communication and plants don't.
I'm pretty sure I know. They aren't. We're not going to really be able to make a lot of progress in dealing with the implications of this tech unless and until we get rid of all this "woo-woo" talk about LLMs. Anthropic pushing this line is PR, unserious.

Reminds me of the blog I read by one elderly assimilationist trans woman.

"Only a slut would wear white panties underneath white trousers!"

Babe, please stop bring complicit in your own oppression.

It is embarassing.

Not only do we have the largest prisoner population in Europe and the 3rd largest per capita, it costs £54k per year for each one. If you spent half that much money on mental health, housing and drug addiction services you could empty many of the prisons.

hi, cis folks!

if you’re in kansas, please call & tell your state senator & representative that revoking trans people’s documents & setting bounties on trans folks using the bathroom is fucked. tell them to support a veto—yes, even republicans.

contact info: reps.fyi

find talking points in the QP
The Kansas State Legislature just passed SB 244, an extremist bill which cruelly targets trans people and their access to restrooms and accurate identity documents.

Kansans: The time to act is NOW. 🚨

I know some diehard Marxists can be a bit thickheaded at times, but that is nothing compared with this.

The utter confusion when people tell him that he deserves better.

Trans people in the UK would be well-advised to get accessible toilet keys. Get them from us and you can:

A) get them for free if you need one

B) pay and keep your money within a community initiative that's doing vital work to build the support framework the trans community desperately needs.
