She/They

Hobbies include books, history, video games, writing and a bit of witchcraft; am rather fond of cafés, forests, libraries and ruins.

Let's try to make things better for a change; we deserve and can do better than this.

PFP by Art of Jexion.
I guess this is a drawback of all those audiobooks; I never get to see the actual text and learn from how it is structured.

I can handle bad writing.

The fact that they seem to prefer their bad writing over their good writing is painful to see.

Silly frog gods.

I still maintain that the Slann in Fantasy are made in the image of the Old Ones; so the elves & Eldar worship alien frogs without knowing it.

I am not an expert on modding; I would like to have separate instances of my main New Vegas game, Dust & Wanderer's Edition.

Alas, I know not how to do this.

Total War mods always add a separate executable file, yet never Bethesda mods?

Everytime I replay it, I really enjoy the first eight levels.

Then, as I am rolling around in ammo, caps & chems; the game is a cake walk.

So you begin doing quests, and you remember how lacklustre the plotline & the quest design is.

It is... disappointing.

Perhaps the Wanderer's Edition?

That's fair.

Meanwhile the Eldar are arguing whether they should have murder orgies or join a weird cult.

Heh.

I love the Eldar.

I thought that was the orks?

Fascism is the tantrum of fragile weak men.

The man behind the AI bubble and the man calling for a US dictatorship wants to give the cops surveilance drones.

In case you stop asking nicely for human rights, will these come with 5.56 mm rifles as well?

In order to execute dissidents?

In the end, all of us are just people.

In the end we're just flawed individuals that make decisions to make the world a little bit brighter, or a little bit darker.

In the end we have to live in the world that we make together.

In the end we have to come to a decision to help, or to hurt.

It is what makes Fallout New Vegas come alive.

It isn't just the radio, not just the named NPCs; random characters will recognize you and comment on what you have done.

Your actions have consequences, for better or for worse.

Help people, and the wasteland gets a little less harsh.

That is what I love about these games.

The world is heartless, it is harsh; violence is the easy option and that is the problem.

It rarely solves problems.

The world needs a proverbial toaster repair man, not a vigilante.

The world is harsh, but you do not have to endure it all on your own.
