The real horseshoe theory is a bunch of people in our politics have been hit in the head by a fucking horseshoe.
Think I'm going to take a break from this site to see how it feels to not be so obsessively online for a bit. See you when baseball starts up again, probably.

In a just world, a corrupt president using how a state voted as a roadmap for denying funding could be justification for finally killing the Electoral College.

No one show Trump “The White Man’s Burden” please.
On X, a senior U.S. Justice Department official is promoting a post that praises colonization as “one of the greatest things that ever happened to the backwards parts of the world.”👇

Past administrations at least gave plausible deniability that we aren’t a naked imperialist power that wants to subjugate and take resources from vassal states. Trump, however, is not able to govern with subtext, so we are forced to face the evil that we do without any varnish.

Trump is now a shop-in to win the inaugural Venezuelan Peace Prize.

Introduce yourself with what almost killed you.

Hi! I’m a massive hemorrhagic stroke at the age of 38.
Introduce yourself with what almost killed you.

Hello, I'm a car making an aggressive left hand turn on a one-way street with a protected bike lane
Introduce yourself with what almost killed you.

Hi, I'm the stone planter that pulverized a college student's spleen. Never bike downhill with a cup of coffee in one hand, especially on a notoriously windy path.

If every rebel in that scene is 38 years old, the Republic fell when they were in their early 20s and this is how they’ve developed living under repressive empire, which makes a lot of sense.
A bunch adolescent rebels getting furious with each other over nothing and trying to kill themselves. Tony Gilroy wanted us to have a two episode taste of what it’s like to be on Bluesky.

Too many people are too financial dependant on Elon being a money printer that they've decided he must be a genius or else they'll go bust with him.

John Roberts do the honorable thing challenge level impossible.
In case you were wondering, Jack Smith's testimony was the *opposite* of "total exoneration."

I’m not watching Stranger Things (gave up during Season Two), so TikTok right now feels like visiting a foreign country where I don’t know the language or the customs.

Will never get over the fact that It’s a Wonderful Life, at its core, is a movie about a greedy business man who gets $8,000 (more than the price of a new home) from a halfwit with no consequences.
