Also, other people are dependent on building. Like construction workers, concrete drivers, truck haulers, plumbers, electricians, engineers, architects, and lots of other laborers. Building inspectors, pavers, flaggers, crane operators, and everyone else in Busytown.

yeah i’m the kind of gal that’ll give a little wave to the flaggers on each end of a road construction crew

Flaggers’ mask slips as fascists and nazis take centre stage

Don’t call us fascists. We’re just ordinary folk worried about our women and kids.”

It’s the familiar refrain from the groups of self-styled “patriots,” “anti-groomers,” and flag-wavers who have sprung up in towns across the country.

Fortunately our most prolific flaggers are contained the other side of a large hill. Unfortunately they’ve concentrated their efforts on a bypass roundabout, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen Christmas lights on that so i think they’ll be around until they’re in tatters.

Would you have kids walk across here to get to school?

False flaggers think this is fine, and want to stop an existing plan by CDOT to make it safer.

So flaggers probably count as construction workers but security guards do not?

In York the Flaggers targeted the area around the hospital where many of the staff rent accomodation. They also targeted university accomodation blocks.
The police say "it might be free expression, not targeted racism", so won't act.

Some argue that the unauthorised flags are about patriotism or celebration but if TfL employees are met with threats by simply enforcing the rules, the “flaggers” expose their true intent which is intimidation and division. I'm glad TfL is working with the Met to respond.

Quislings. These people hate this country. Reform, tories “the flaggers”. Scum the lot of them.
Conservative Shadow Culture Secretary Nigel Huddleston tells GB News that the BBC should "grovel" to Trump.

Amazing how many British 'patriots' are spending their time telling our national broadcaster to prostrate itself before a hostile foreign leader

Eh. That's one piece of it, but also a piece that is not particularly reliable and... also open to abuse. Lots of platforms have systems of "trusted flaggers" which were later abused. Also, you have people in our gov't currently who argue that any trusted flagger program is "outsourcing censorship"

On my walk earlier this week, I waved to all of the people on a passing train. Because that's the rule: you wave to the people on the train. It is not age-restricted. I also like to wave to flaggers, and sometimes to sanitation workers. Now I also know to wave (safely) to other work crews too!
i encourage greetings for our crews when you see them near you. if a safe opportunity is there, go ahead and give them a wave or a thank you. it goes a long way.
I saw one of your trucks on the towpath near Station Road Bridge and wanted to stop and say hi but then realized the worker would probably find that really weird.

European Union's Digital Services Act requires online platforms to implement robust “content moderation” measures, which could curtail Americans' speech freedoms; role of "trusted flaggers" has drawn particular scrutiny.
A European Threat to the First Amendment – John David Rosenthal
Do we trust the EU's "trusted flaggers" to police American speech?

Check out this new roundabout at SR 26 & 1st in Othello. Pretty, yes? It's alllllll-most done. Flaggers overnight tonight from 6p-6a due to some lighting work, and a final paint job coming in spring. It's a beaut. Thank you for your patience!

Liked the portmanteau you gave them, Flaggers.

Everyone knows what you mean, except the flagging halfwits themselves, who think a portmanteau is a fancy name for a sideboard.

You will be ABSOLUTELY STUNNED to discover that the “flaggers” are a nationwide coalition of racists and crooks.

Urgh. What a repulsive bunch of racist shit-stirrers. And, of course, Farage never far from the stink.
