This report is a step forward, but it falls short. Deaf and Disabled People's organisations were clear throughout our investigation: London needs a Disability Equality Champion. Disappointed it was left out of the recommendations, which is why I led on this minority report.

Peckham Rye is the busiest station in the UK without step-free access and so many other stations on the Windrush Line are inaccessible. We need to look seriously into the feasibility of going step-free. Iโve written to the Deputy Mayor for Transport calling for urgent action.โฌ๏ธ

Disabled Londoners sounded the alarm before Grenfell, but were ignored. We can't make that mistake again. I'm glad the London Assembly listened to concerns from @inclusionlondon.bsky.social and backed our motion for the Mayor to work with government to strengthen regulations for PEEPS.

South Wimbledon station needs step-free access! Today I presented the @mertonlibdems.bsky.social petition at the London Assembly signed by over 1000 local residents who are fed up waiting. It's time TfL stopped dragging their heels and got on with it!
