People complain about using the chemical toilet at church (our main toilet is broken and we can't afford the extremely expensive archeology required to fix it), and I'm like... Some volunteers will have to lug this across the city to empty and clean it. We are doing our best. Stop complaining.

Thanks to budgetary cutbacks for education, many colleges tried to combine courses. The final exams for archeology and human sexuality courses though, proved that the administration needed to revisit which courses worked better together.

Here is a shot I took about a week ago: The Avebury stones under the full ‘Cold’ or ‘Long Night’ supermoon, the closest full moon to the winter solstice.

Happy #StandingStoneSunday.

Ancient cave art is beautiful to look at—and it was likely also meant to be part of a listening experience. A growing field of archeology is uncovering the role music played during the Ice and Stone Ages. 🎶
How Did Ancient Humans Use The Acoustics Of Spaces Like Caves?
What did a vulture-bone flute sound like inside a cave? How about singing inside a tomb? Researchers are bringing ancient sounds back to life.

ARCHEOLOGY of Brittany - Endlessly fascinating with Carnac, Brest, Gavrinis ... and now more.
"...a second group... is characterized by narrower walls composed of smaller stones that were arranged to block natural depressions in the terrain. One of these... consists of a 50-meter-long line of closely spaced small monoliths, sometimes set in parallel rows."

Hanukkah celebrates the Maccabees' victory over foreign colonizers who sought to erase Jewish culture and identity. Zionism isn't new. The land of Israel is central to Judaism as a religion and nation, dominating historical and modern texts, as well as evidence from archeology.

I think Apple TV+, despite not having an entire library of IPs, managed to carve out their own space in the streaming war with high concept shows like Pluribus and Severance.

New IPs are blank slates. That means:
- No lore archeology
- No fandom gatekeeping
- No culture wars
