Thankfully I have got the brain battery levels for some meticulously planned ramblings (plus off-the-cuff diversions of course) to be heard in the future on a new thing.🎙️🎧

The only thing that I was disappointed to hear was Tara bashing. Her fighting style was “a brick in a handbag” one time and she became much more adapt as a fighter as the series went on.

It does feel at times Linda Thorson’s biggest crime for some people is not being Diana Rigg!
The New Avengers preview at Riverside today. They screened The Eagle's Nest and it looks pretty incredible. The restoration feature was fascinating as was the Q&A.

Another very good day out!

This is an episode all about the collars…

It’s time for Weapon and some of Jacqueline Pearce’s finest moments. She is not at all phased by Travis’ threats. She loathes him and almost everyone else in the episode.

Except for Carnell…

The best source for information on Film is Fabulous is Film is Fabulous itself. Anything else is just likely to be hyperbole and speculation.

Based on recommendations I bought Object Z. I’d never even heard of it until the BFI announced it was coming out.

More Junior A for Andromeda than Quatermass Experiment but very enjoyable and quite mature for a children’s drama

Right… we’re in Hammersmith a good 90 minutes before the screening starts. We WILL be on time today!

Though next time… take more photos!
We did miss the start of Redemption (and the space battle) but the rest of it looked superb.

Star One is still one of my favourite episodes and the new look cliffhanger works brilliantly.

And despite the fear mongering not a sign of AI on the screen
Little trip to the BFI today for the Blake’s 7 Season B preview/launch event!

Lots of faces I recognised and nice to have a chat and hello with people as well…

We’re going to be fashionably late… or just regular late sadly!

Off to London and the BFI. Current speed standard by 0 as we’re waiting on the train to arrive, slightly delayed

The very first VHS I got. Christmas 1993 from my Aunty Betty. It’s not one 10 year old me would have picked and first viewing was challenging. But I’ve since fallen in love with this great story!
On to episode 4 of ‘The Curse of Peladon’.
I can easily say that repeated viewings over the years - from ‘Dr Who and the Monsters’, then via VHS, DVD and finally Blu-ray - certainly hasn’t blunted my fondness for this story.
Though there was something inevitably magical about those 80s repeats 🙂
