I'm a goat
I am NEVER voting Labour again with Starmer as leader. No morals, no vision, no conviction. Conservative economic policy with Reform immigration policy just chasing votes wherever he thinks they might be.

The human race is screwed. The number of people replying to arguments with AI responses and claiming it is "proof" of something. AI just amalgamates stuff it finds into a coherent response, it doesn't care if it is right or wrong. Read the evidence yourself people!

Excellent example of good Dutch street design. This bidirectional cycle track bends away from the road at a side street, crossing at a safe distance with clear priority for cyclists, then smoothly returns. Safe, intuitive, and effective!

Oh no, someone's made some stickers to stick on controlled pedestrian crossing points in an attempt to encourage the council to change the timings.

Hard to be motorist on ‘modest income’, says Starmer
He made the comments as the Government unveiled plans for councils to prove they are tackling the issues or face losing the cash to fix them.

In 25 years of covering national security, I’ve never seen a story like this: Senior Trump officials discussed planning for the U.S. attack on Yemen in a Signal group--and inadvertently added the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic. www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...
The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War Plans
U.S. national-security leaders included me in a group chat about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. I didn’t think it could be real. Then the bombs started falling.

Should councils have access to police close pass data in order to assist in planning infrastructure to make the roads safer? That's the question a cyclist has posed after discovering his local council cannot currently access information such as close pass reports made to the area's police force
"A massive opportunity to make roads safer": Police reveal councils don't currently have access to close pass data, as cyclist urges forces and local authorities to work together
Do local authorities need access to police data on close passes and other roads incidents to protect cyclists and plan effective infrastructure?

The "both sides" bollocks from the media strikes again.

Mr Moody and his group are fringe. Their website has a whiff of conspiracy about it and they are not good faith actors.

They should be derided, not platformed.

There is something deeply absurd about the modern pedestrian crossing. You press the beg-button and then you wait. And wait. And wait.

Interminable wait times reveal a deeper pathology. The pedestrian is, at best, an afterthought - at worst, an obstruction.

Bike Lanes for all. A two minutes video, about how the number of people in wheelchairs visible on the road (I mean, not only on the sidewalk) has soared since the introduction of bike lanes in Paris (and also since the advances in micromobility they benefit from, both happened around the same time)

For the first time, the Norwegian government has calculated the value to society of the health benefits of increased walking and cycling.

🚲 ~€2.8 for each additional km of cycling
🚶‍♀️ ~€4.2 for each additional km of walking
Samfunnet tjener mye på at folk går og sykler!

Nye tall fra Helsedirektoratet viser at vi sparer:

🚲 33 kr for hver km folk sykler
🚶‍♀️ 49 kr for hver km folk går

Det er sammenlignet med at folk ikke er i fysisk aktivitet, f.eks. om de kjører bil.

Starmer has to say this. The key is that he doesn’t believe it.

In Britain it's about Councils saying that want cities for people while really doing everything possible not to upset motorists
“The lesson from the Netherlands isn’t just about bike lanes or trains; it’s about ambition.

It’s about designing cities for people, not just cars.

It’s about leaders stepping up, citizens demanding more and breaking out of the status quo to embrace something better.”
