ATLANTA (AP) - Ted Turner, owner of the Atlanta Braves, has been asked to meet with National League President Charles Feeney over the possible illegal use of a uniform worn by million-dollar pitcher Andy Messersmith.
Turner recently had players' nicknames sewn on Atlanta's home uniforms. Above Messersmith's number 17, the nickname "Channel" appears.
Turner owns two television stations, one of which is Channel 17 in Atlanta.
