Hi 🦀Ben Houchen 🦀fans

Ever wondered what Ben's four Teesworks JV cronies are up to?

Well right now, three of them - Martin Corney, Ian Waller and Chris Harrison - have started trashing wildlife on the outskirts of Darlington.

The more this place reminds me of why I liked social media so much the more I realise that I stopped doing so a long time ago. It’s extraordinary what happened. The volume & violence of posts from accounts you had never shown the slightest interest in just exploded. It *must* have been deliberate.

Wild. Twitter, maybe for the first time, kinda feels like a ghost town compared to here.

Hi🦀 #BenHouchen 🦀fans

Ben reckons that the Darlington station refurb is 'on track' to be completed by the end of the S&DR bicentenary year in 2025.

He wants us to forget that the Hartlepool job over-ran by a year, and Middlesbrough still isn't finished

Is anyone who isn't a crazed right winger or bot still left on there? Place must be a screaming echo chamber by now...
As 🦋 spins faster (going to be 17 million in a few hours) the eXodus is real

As @iandunt.bsky.social says

Extremely welcome. This needs to be a place with broad political participation if it's going to replace Twitter.
By my reckoning, @benobesejecty.bsky.social is the first Conservative MP on @bsky.app - a very welcome development

Very glad I asked this. A bit surprised to register just how happy the replies have made me. Thank you. It really feels like the tectonic plates are shifting. I’m so in.

Well, less than 24 hours in and this is a breath of fresh air (no pun intended)

Only downside is the lack of grassroots/local politics and news for the Teesside/North East area.

Has anyone got any recommendations for accounts to follow?

1/ I had foreseen this - the EU Commission’s delay in making a final decision on its investigation of X under Digital Services Act is sus.

Two alternatives to regulatory action:

1 see my thread last night about private enforcement of tech law

2 we can just *leave* his fucking far right platform
This is a *very* interesting turn of events, in which Vance threatens Europe with a nuclear holocaust at the hands of Russia/China etc. if we don't allow Musk to continue to abuse EU law with his appallingy offensive organ (Twitter).

Dark money and Donald Trump's British fan club
Britain is already prey to many of the opaque US conservative donors that backed Trump. Keir Starmer needs to act.
