These are deeply evil men who are perjuring themselves so that a 70-year-old grandfather will die alone in federal prison for daring to stand up to their crimes.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Gabriel Fuentes, in dismissing Midway Blitz-related charges against Dana Briggs last week, said he was lifting restrictions on relevant video.

Today he made the video available through the clerk's office at no cost to the public. Here's the first.

It’s wild how many second chances people get just because they were a c suite exec.

There are so many versions of the story of a guy running a company to the ground, leaving and then running a different company in the same industry into the ground.

I don‘t think the public will become less transphobic but i do think culture war shit against such a small group is essentially a luxury good and with a bad economy they’ll stop giving a shit.
I think Democrats should double down on trans rights now. It's obvious that most voters don't care about it so you might as well stick with your principles and goad Republicans into focusing on it at the expense of everything else so they're the ones who look like freaks.

The New York Times, where the popular mayor-elect of their city is a fringe figure, but the QAnon podcaster who asked him a racist question comes out as a "winner"

This newspaper hates its readers as much as Republicans hate their voters. And if you're still supporting either, you deserve it.
What a strange framing and characterization. How does one describe his blatantly dishonest, racist question about taxes as “press[ing] the Mayor-elect on his policy proposals”? In what way does this lying troll emerge as a “winner“?

This is identical to Russia invading Ukraine. Illegally invading a country for their resources and likely killing thousands—if not more—is immoral and should not be supported by anyone with any shred of moral conscience.

Utterly ludicrous framing from @nytimes.com here, treating Pete Hegseth's arguments as if they're legitimate. The casual reader will be left with no inkling whatsoever of how unusual and corrupt an abuse of the process this truly is:

Do Republicans running for the exits influence the calculus on any Venezuela action or is the WH committed?

Respectfully, I think they’re seriously going for it. Rubio’s all in, has clearly decided to sell out Ukraine for his pet project and everyone else is racist enough they don’t care who wins as long as brown people die anonymously.
I’m still skeptical of any type of “real” action against Venezuela but if there is, it will probably follow the playbook against the Houthis because again, they got out of it with little political damage the last time and there appears to be little cost to try it (relatively speaking)
I don’t think he pulls the trigger tbh

This is a worst case scenario. It's as likely that Trump is just bluffing or does a minor hit that doesn't change much in Caracas

But that what were once considered wildly scifi scenarios for the whole Western Hemisphere are becoming plausible should profoundly worry the EU and the wider world too

I was told recently that the FBI and DC Metro PD take academy cadets to the Holocaust Museum to punctuate the danger of mindlessly following illegal and immoral orders.

Be curious to know what other agencies do this — and if they’re still doing it.
BLITZER: I want to be precise. Should members of the US military obey clearly illegal orders?

McCLAIN: You're asking an enlisted person for their opinion on what they think is legal. That's a pretty slippery slope. Follow your commander in chief. That's the oath that you took

(Not a no!)
