Just heard re: some ICE agents who raided a Chicago taqueria, then went back to the same taqueria for lunch the following week and got confused when the owner kicked them out, and I realized "jesus these doofuses really do believe we're all living in a video game where the NPCs have no memory"

Neoliberalism has empowered the worst people in the world, while simultaneously removing all restrictions and limitations on what they're able to do. You know what they say when you have a Nazi at the table and 10 other people are sitting there politely conversing with them...

Yeah so a lot of the kids being deported are missing and there’s a bunch of kiddy fuckers in positions of power I’m sure these two facts are in no way connected

You would think the ppl that talk about their family a lot would know the most what it would mean to not have one, but yea it never works out that way.

stealing children = "saving" them

1. Try to kill 'em
2. Try to remove 'em
3. Try to educate 'em
4 Steal their children

--the colonists' pattern--
plenary #adoption, and the industry that brokers adoptions, are capitalism’s way of exploiting, rather than addressing, morally inexcusable social inequality and precarity to provide affluent people a marketplace to acquire a coveted source of social wealth: children.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

One Battle After Another is giving me "cinema is back, baby" feels.

The first 20 mins had me worried that it was going to be liberal or centrist garbage, but the ending message showed that the director understood the importance of the fight.

The movie was also fucking funny as hell.

Growing up non-white in the US is such a curse.

Having to interact with apolitical people who really thought Nazis weren't that bad and on the better end, "progressives" who thought white supremacy was long dead.

I do wonder what's going on with all of them now.

Kind of feel it's unfair to have your language skills be compared to someone who's married to a native speaker or who comes from a wealthier background.

C'est la vie, I guess.

Someone asked what happened to the casual Nazi at the end of WWII. The people who supported the Party

The answer? Suicides and murders. If they weren’t beaten to death or shot in the streets, they killed themselves

There’s a book called Promise Me You’ll Shoot Yourself by Florian Huber about it.
