Scoop from @jewishcurrents.bsky.social: The ADL is dropping its anti-bias training, and also "deleted lesson plans on topics such as transgender identity, white privilege, school integration, and the impact of boarding schools on Native Americans."

Very clear the org is going hard right.

Hours before he was killed by Israel, Hossam Shabat filed his last report for @dropsitenews.com, “Report from the Frontline of Israel’s War of Annihilation.”

We are publishing Hossam’s story along with a deeply moving tribute to Hossam by Sharif Abdel Kouddous:

My deeply held belief in being a bully has made me a pariah, no matter how much I bully with a smile.

I am now a martyr, which is the highest honor for a bully to achieve.

I will now use my martyr grievance as the most powerful of my bully weapons, in this society I built & dominate.
Interesting story that gets to the heart of why many Christians feel persecuted in the U.S.: The secular elite find many of their views abhorrent and uncouth

“i disagree with everything Khalil was saying, and how he was saying it. im glad the nypd bashed all those kids’ heads in last year and he should maybe be expelled. but the important thing is…wait what was i saying?” we’re truly watching the rhetorical masters at work with these kinds of statements

Yep, as I've been noting, INA 237(a)(4)(C) requires no allegations of lawbreaking, only that the Secretary of State declare that he/she has "reasonable ground to believe" that the person's presence in the United States "would have potentially serious adverse foreign policy consequences."
NEW: White House says the arrest and deportation of student activist & legal US resident, Mahmoud Khalil, is a blueprint for more.

The final line here is chilling. The White House specifically says Khalil was not breaking the law.

No evidence, no due process, no crime. He was just disappeared.

Thought it might be a good idea to boost the Democratic House members who are here on BlueSky.
Bring them more over to the Good Place.
They still get way more attention over at the Bad Place.

Right now there is clear, overwhelming opposition to Mahmoud Khalil’s abduction across the moderate, liberal, progressive & left spectrum. This kind of loud unity is what authoritarians are afraid of. To keep it up we need every institution & public leader to join the chorus.

There is some great Jewish geography in this story.

SCOOP—Emails obtained by @zeteo.com show Mahmoud Khalil reached out for help from the Columbia administration *one day before* ICE detained him.

He said he couldn't sleep from threats he was receiving.
He even wrote that he feared ICE "might come to my home."

Undocumented people are *also* protected by the Constitution. Drawing a distinction for whether someone is worthy of basic human rights based on immigration status is a big part of the reason we’re here; assuming the Constitution doesn’t apply to literally every living person in the U.S. is another.

I've only seen snippets from the Sanctuary City hearing today but from what I've seen--if Democratic party had consistently shown up like that for immigration hearings and debates for the past few years we might be in an entirely different and better place as a country.

This a remarkable story. Amazing there are still so many pets alive after nearly 14 years.

The 62-year-old was driven by a sense of responsibility for the pets being abandoned as “it came about because of the meltdown at our plant.”
