Balding, middle aged, observing the world fall apart and not enjoying it.

“What happens on the football field matters, not in the way that food matters, but as poetry does to some people and alcohol does to others: it engages the personality”
I swear these utter fools use AI prompts in government.
He’s wrong, governments do lose because polls go down. But it’s also just bland, beige word soup that only someone of incredibly small imagination and talent could write and believe in.
More from Starmer’s political cabinet today, where he told ministers to ignore Labour’s dire poll ratings

“I do not underestimate the scale of the task. But I have no doubt about this team. Governments do not lose because polls go down. They lose when they lose belief or nerve. We will do neither.”

Morgan McSweeney is:

. Embarrassing
. Egocentric
. Evil

Those are your 3 E’s. How is McSweeney still employed? He’s like David Brent, but with less charisma.
At political cabinet today, Morgan McSweeney gave a presentation on “three Es” on how the government can connect with voters - emotion, empathy and evidence.

Am told he said the government currently has a “deficit in emotion”

"SCOTTISH Labour MPS are privately calling for Wes Streeting to stand against Sir Keir Starmer before May to avoid a wipeout in the Holyrood election, The Telegraph can reveal.

"The Health Secretary’s allies are pushing for a “Wes coronation” to give Labour new energy in Scotland..."

last year, centrists lost their minds when Green Party leader Zack Polanski dared to suggest that NATO is over. Fast forward to now, #Trump is threatening to invade a NATO member while Labour politicians squirm: Turns out it was Trump that undermined NATO and Zack was insanely correct.
Labour's 'NATO' attack ad on Polanski comes back to bite them
Polanski said NATO is over in the age of Trump, and now Trump has announced plans to invade a NATO member. Your move, Labour Party.

Outrageous.

Ministers should be listening to scientists, frontline communities and those working towards a green transition – not hosting the interests of oil giants in their own offices.

We can’t go on like this.

In just two days, the average FTSE 100 CEO has made a median workers full time annual salary.

The right calls this “wealth creation”.

It’s wealth extraction.

Time to tax the rich.

I’m not certain that - given the disastrous situation that has directly resulted from these people getting 96% of what they demanded - giving them 100% of it is likely to improve matters.

No one is asking Wes Streeting to be a commentator.

Asking him to be a government minister when the whole world can see Trump breaking international law whilst threatening Greenland next, and the Cabinet (with Nigel Farage) seems perfectly fine with it.
Wes Streeting is asked if Trump has broken international law when it comes to Venezuela. Streeting says he's got nothing to add and he's not here to be a commentator.

I mean, which idiot thinks politicians should answer questions when they're being interviewed in a TV studio!

That’s thousands of ordinary women and girls being exploited online via non-consensual deepfakes.

Labour is tackling the issue at the source – making it illegal to supply the tools for creating explicit deepfakes.
