Kind of wonky about health care, and I can be pretty saucy on here.

it just seems plainly clear to me that if you serve the country in any capacity, civil or military, and you are not a conservative white man, the Trump administration wants to make the workplace as hostile an environment as possible so you remove yourself

The idea that the universalist ideals of decency, respect, or kindness could be *genuinely felt* by anyone is alien to them. They can only interpret that kind of behavior as "virtue signaling," some kind of clever second-order selfishness. Everyone is bad if you dig enough. That's bedrock belief.

This is really important imo, and not really talked about enough.
When they say Trump calling a reporter "piggy" is "just being honest," they are revealing a key feature of the reactionary mind: it believes, at a deep brainstem level, that *everyone* is awful & selfish & ugly on the inside. Everyone just suppresses it out of fear of social disapproval. Not Trump!

It's not even a morality issue---it's an equity issue.

In essence, about half the student body has to manage the prospect that approaching the professor for help, professional advice, guidance, or feedback is going to go sideways.

Women in his classes are not getting the same class.
I know that at this point it's a subplot in the Epstein files drama, but I feel compelled to point out, once again, that Larry Summers HAS NO BUSINESS teaching students at ANY university ever again!

Why Is Larry Summers Still Employed?
The revelations about the economist’s attempts to pressure a women into a “relationship”—with guidance from Jeffrey Epstein—should finally disqualify him from teaching students.

Pick a dish to bring to the holiday potluck of a multibillion dollar company who nevertheless won't pay for a catered meal or go lie down in traffic? I am mulling it over.

If you are an "official" who actually believes that under the Trump regime you are there to uphold and protect anything other than his interests at this stage of the game.... I mean, what can anyone even say.

"They don't care about Trump's past sins, they care about his current failures" is quite a GOP message.

If this is true then why are they so anxious to stop the release???
New Epstein emails "seem to show Trump understood who Epstein was, how he and Maxwell were acting, and the kinds of crimes they were committing. He was adjacent to, if not involved in, those crimes."

Ghislaine Maxwell lied about Trump never going to Epstein's house (directly contradicted by her email correspondence with Epstein), and she was rewarded for that lie with a transfer to a cushier prison. The coverup is happening in plain sight.

There is something in those files that he doesn't think he can get away with just saying it's all lies. I want to know what it is. He feels okay about saying anything is lies, no matter what evidence exists.

Disgusting. You engaged in political gamesmanship using them as pawns knowing they would get harmed and now you question *their* patriotism because some of them aren't wealthy like you and didn't want to work a high stress job for no pay?
