It really hits you in the face how badly they dropped the ball that this isn’t starting in July of 2026. IT WAS RIGHT THERE
As part of the shift, the 2027–28 MLS regular season will kick off in mid-to-late July 2027 and conclude with the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs in May 2028.

MLS will observe a midwinter break from mid-December through early February, with no league matches scheduled in January.

Luis Rubiales was at his book launch for “Matar a Rubiales” when his own uncle — also named Luis Rubiales! — threw eggs at him. This sentence is all somehow completely true?

At the same time the NY Times was hyping Hillary Clinton's emails, it had a reporter with emails from Jeffrey Epstein that were highly damaging to Trump.

The more NYT apologists try to minimize this the clearer it becomes that they don't understand why much of the public doesn't trust legacy media.

Google is hosting a CBP app that uses facial recognition to identify immigrants, while removing apps that report the location of ICE officials because Google sees ICE as a vulnerable group. @evystadium.bsky.social has more.

Today is a good day to remember, and to say, that the #MeToo movement was right, and was righteous, and has been vindicated over and over again. There was no overreach. There was no excess. There was no they-went-too-far.

So much work remains to be done.

Misread "cold" as "old" but everything else made sense still.
If your entire body hurts please ask yourself if you are cold and if you answer yes, remember that tensing every muscle in your body will eventually lead to all of them hurting so go get a blanket, a hot cup of something, some sort of heating pad...

it is a victory of Hitlerite thought that people are attempting to use Hitler’s own logic to explain the man himself, looking at his genes rather than from the socio-political factors that allowed him to rise
Exclusive: Adolf Hitler’s DNA has been sequenced by scientists

It has:
- shown he had a disorder which impacted his sexual development
- debunked rumours about his ancestry
- shown a high likelihood that he had a neurodivergent condition and/or bipolar disorder

Holy shit, just learned about the typewriter art of Montserrat Alberich Escardívol, a Catalan typist. Using an extra wide typewriter and 180 color ribbons, she built up elaborate images from simple characters like 'm' and '.' and ';'. Here is her typewritten painting of the Cathedral of Barcelona.

One of the points I've prioritized teaching my kids is that prioritizing doing things like sports/games/hobbies to the best of their abilities is a better, more fulfilling goal than focusing on winning or competing with other people.
