hey w how trad pub is likely going to be pulling back on books by marginalized authors, now more than ever, please get over whatever roadblock exists in your mind that keeps you from branching out to indie books. if the trad space starts to look dire soon (and it will), this is gonna be the solution

You’re not gonna believe this bc it sounds insane. we’ve had a mouse in our house for weeks. But tonight he was like, weakly hanging out by the front door. I caught him with gloves and a plastic cup and I took him outside. Poor lil guy. Idk wtf that was about. Hopefully that was the only mouse?

It's wild. If I post (for example) 10 similar videos of different kittens chewing on my camera at the shelter, people will comment "typical orange behavior" on the orange one, even though all the kittens are doing the exact same thing.
my two are chill, a little skittish and so behaved they're almost trained. it's kind of annoying when they have a bit of energy and people say "ah orange cat behavior", or "single brain cell". That kind of talk has become pretty grating, i get its just jokes but cats have such varied personalities
