At the point where we leave them in canon, they’re young and idealistic and it’s all so new, but it would lead to at least a little resentment in the future
They would talk it out like big boys and it would be okay in the end, but it will always be something they wish could’ve been different

(My partner has read my most recent finished draft and it was great! This isn’t about him. It’s about the half-dozen or more IRLs who have been like “omg, you wrote a book? I wanna read it!” and then never touched it after I took them at their word and sent it to them 😭)

This. I know I’m not entitled to having my loved ones read my work, but I don’t think most non-writers get what it means for someone you know to invite you to read their work. It’s vulnerable and it’s anxiety-inducing and it’s an honor, tbh. It’d be nice if they would actually do it sometime

(Also ik that genderfluid shapeshifters are a bit of a stereotype but. 1. I wanna shapeshift, it’d be so validating to me. and 2. she was genderfluid long before she was a shapeshifter, lol)

Human-turned-succubus (gender neutral) is such a great analogy for, like, all the issues that Vesper’s story was *always* about, and it’s rotting my brain so much (positive)
