“There’s a public health imperative to quickly expand the adoption of autonomous vehicles.”

Would the author say the same about building bike lanes? Installing automatic traffic cameras? Requiring Intelligent Speed Assist?

All of those are proven to save lives — and at a fraction of AVs' cost.

Hot take: bike lanes aren't big enough to take all the things people want to put in them. Either keep them for bikes or make them a lot wider

Lol, Zillow tried to rate the climate risks facing individual properties. The real estate industry *hated* it, precisely because it worked -- it made selling risky properties more difficult. So they rebelled & Zillow caved.

rare disagreement with mike.

solar-generated electrons are cool, but the e-bike is changing the physical world more radically, and more rapidly, than anything else in modernity (it's just hard to see in the US because the car industry own our asses -- but, it's a big planet!!)

The RADpower ebike battery situation is perhaps even more confusing in Canada. Which government and/or agency should respond? I haven'r read anything yet. With a confused public, the potential for disposing of batteries into the wrong waste stream is real & dangerous

Nov 24, 1995: Canadian National abandons 56.3 miles (91 km) of its Beachburg Subdivision from Brent through Algonquin Park to Nipissing, ON. This severed CN's transcontinental main line from Montreal to Western Canada; all transcontinental freight traffic now went via Toronto.
