There isn’t anything else to say. What is happening in Gaza is a collective shame. And some people could act, they have the power to act, and they are doing nothing, except meaningless platitudes. We are 72 hours or 48 hours or 24 hours or 12 hours from this being irreversible and: nothing.

A ceasefire with a starvation blockade is utterly useless. The Foreign Secretary needs to act to get food and water in to Gaza.

The deadliest weapon of war is Israel’s mass starvation of people in a besieged mountain of rubble, rubble made by ISrael’s illegally occupying forces.
Asked about actions he might take against Israel, David Lammy says its not appropriate to go into detail.

Everyone knows what you need to do. End all arms exports. End all trade. End all military assistance. Impose sanctions on the govt & economy. Expel the Israeli ambassador.

Israel now blocked the most direct route for aid to Palestinians in Gaza. The campaign of mass starvation continues to accelerate as the Israelis continue to commit genocide.

I dunno, all I can say on this "u-turn" is I didn't have MS until one day, I did and I don't need help staying independent until maybe one day I do. A variation of the above can apply to the entire population.

right, and that’s why there are loads of state-funded, accessible, effective English language classes for recent migrants, right? …right???
You mean like by taking some kind of English language test? You know, like the English language test most have to take already? Labour is just pushing things which already exist at this stage.

1. Quick 🧵 on the change to policy that, on the face of it, bans refugees from ever acquiring British citizenship. @sonial77.bsky.social has published a short article on Free Movement:
