I subscribed to the physical print version of my local newspaper, and I think I like it. I'm realizing I'm addicted to my phone and that bothers me. This is a decent way for me to stay informed, and to support local journalism. Local news coverage is so important

Border Patrol agent Lairmore testifies that he was not injured by the sandwich, but he felt the impact through his ballistic vest.

The sandwich came apart and "kind of exploded" on his chest upon impact, he says.

"Katie Wilson gets help from her out-of-state parents to help pay for childcare for her young daughter" is not an attack that is going to resonate with any young parents who are grappling with Seattle's expensive childcare
Bruce Harrell's latest campaign email says "Katie Wilson Is Not Who She Says She Is." His evidence: An interview with KUOW in which Wilson—ahem—SAID she and her husband help with child care from her parents.

In 2021 when The Urbanist interviewed Harrell, he got mad at us for the interview time (his choice) and for not endorsing him during an election when The Urbanist did not exist yet.
I was trying to recall an anecdote about the Stranger's 2007 endorsement meeting with Bruce Harrell in a thread with @goldy.horsesass.org. Here's a snippet that is interesting in retrospect.

I don't usually follow sports, but I'm really excited for the Mariners. Can't believe that it's 2025 and the easiest way to follow a major sporting event is to listen to AM radio or go to my local sports bar.

But you know what, that's kind of fun. I don't know what universe this is, but it's fun.
