Pro tip for the politicians: If you don't want to come across as the rich asshole that you probably are, instead of being mad when someone talks about how expensive stuff is these days, just say "yeah, I know right??"

That's it. You're now likeable.

a strategy for obtaining power is attending boring meetings. it works more than you'd think!

Maybe the game could run in two windows. The screen capture is configured to only capture the window that's in the background, not visible to the player.

La Barbecue was my favorite bbq spot. Miss it. Are they still awesome? Were they worth the wait??

Do we want a society with practically free energy?
Or a society with AI rubbed on everything?

Other thoughts:
I'd like to see local print news continue, but look different. Could local news be printed more like a simplified magazine? And could there an effort, any effort at all, at building an audience for printed news in a younger (under 50) audience?

Things I don't like:

- TV stuff. There's a *lot* of space given to what is happening on TV, including a detailed, exhaustive TV guide table. I was shocked, tbh. I kind of get why they do this: they're catering to an audience that subscribes to cable and doesn't use the Internet. But that's not me.

Things I don't like:
- The "extra" stuff seems aggressively aimed at seniors. Which is fine, but it's not me (ads, comics, gossip columns, etc)
- I don't like the classic paper layout, where stories are spread out across random pages. I get it's to maximize space and positioning, but it's annoying.

Things I like (cont):
- Not using my phone
- It can be used in little projects (cut out pictures for a kids art project, special stories can be clipped out for a scrap book, etc)
- Sharing is easier, actually! I find myself asking family members "Did you read xyz?" and handing them the paper

Some things I like:
- An emphasis on local news rather than national
- The local newspaper is cheaper than the NYT or WaPo or similar national papers, but it does still contain select articles from them (a lot of the NYT or WaPo is garbage, so having only a few select articles is good, actually!)

Omg for real props to you, because that part is just the worst.

I assume that the minority that are not buying even one small treat a week are doing extremely well, financially.

Amazon also had a game engine during that time that integrated with Twitch and AWS. It was called Lumberyard

Looks they gave up on it. At least in that case it seems that some of the guts were open-sourced and birthed another game engine: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amazon_...

Gross. Amazon is making more than God, and they look over at a thing that, by their admission, works well, and they try to disrupt it to make more money.

Capitalism is so broken and terrible
